Join our team as a Social Work, Children and Elderly Care volunteer! Support vulnerable populations, promote well-being, and make a difference in lives. Work with local communities , provide emotional support, and facilitate activities promoting socialization and empowerment.

Dortoir partagé: Vous aurez un lit dans une chambre partagée, ce qui signifie que vous partagerez la même chambre avec d'autres voyageurs.

Détails du programme

Elderly and child care is a comprehensive and compassionate care initiative that bridges the gap between two of life's most vulnerable populations: children and seniors. Our program fosters a supportive environment where children and seniors can thrive, learn from each other, and build meaningful relationships.

*Program Goals:

1. Provide high-quality care and support for children and seniors
2. Foster intergenerational connections and mentorship
3. Promote physical, emotional, and social well-being
4. Encourage learning, growth, and development
5. Offer respite and support for caregivers and families


Activités et horaires



*Daily Schedule:*

- 9:00 AM: Arrival at the teaching location (school, community center, etc.)
- 9:30 AM: Lesson planning and preparation
-10 :00 AM: Teaching sessions (2-3 hours)
- Break: 10-minute break between sessions
- 12:00 PM: Lunch break
- 1:00 PM: Afternoon teaching sessions (2 hours)
- 3:00 PM: Wrap-up and planning for next day
- 4:00 PM: Free time (explore local community, work on projects, etc.)

*Shift Options:*

- Morning shift: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (teaching)
- Afternoon shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM (teaching or project work)
- Full-day shift: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (teaching and project work)

*Activities:*

- Lesson planning and preparation
- Teaching languages (English, French, etc.)
- Leading cultural activities (music, dance, art, etc.)
- Facilitating conversation practice and language exchange
- Developing teaching materials and resources
- Collaborating with local teachers and staff
- Reflecting on lessons and adjusting approach as needed

*Additional Activities:*

- Cultural immersion activities (e.g., visit local markets, try traditional foods)
- Community service projects (e.g., environmental conservation, health education)
- Professional development workshops (e.g., teaching methodologies, cultural sensitivity)

*Flexibility:*

- Be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances (e.g., weather, student needs)
- Be flexible with teaching schedule and activities
- Be open to feedback and constructive criticism
