It was a lovely experience, I met some amazing people and the work itself was shorter hours than i thought- which is amazing! The work load was easy and the host was friendly. Had a few issues throughout the stay but they were thankfully resolved, such as planning who had what day off between the volunteers. But i definitely recommend if you would like to visit skopje, it is a small hostel that feels like a cute little community!

Pasé un mes extraordinario en Skopje gracias a la amabilidad de Dejan , es de verdad un apersona muy buena ,se preocupa mucho por la felicidad de los voluntarios y por que todos tengas una excelente experiencia, siempre que necesitábamos algo el se preocupaba por hacernos llegar lo que sea una persona increíble , el hostel es muy agradable , las camas cómodas los espacios en común muy tranquilos los baños y las habitaciones son mu confortables , esta súper cerca de la estación de buses para conocer otras ciudades y destinos turísticos , excelente voluntariado la verdad , lo super recomiendo!!!

My time in the hostel couldnt be better! Work is chill, you get plenty of hours to explore the city. Dejan is a great guy, always happy to help you with everything you need. The hostel is small, cozy, in a great location and you get to meet a lot of travellers from everywhere. If i ever go back to Macedonia, thats where i'm staying, either as a guest or as a volunteer!

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience 😊. I helped with cleaning, welcoming guests, and preparing beds, with flexible hours. The owner was always kind and welcoming — he even took me to dinner with his friends and was available whenever I needed anything. He was open to explaining everything about Macedonia, and thanks to him I learned a lot about the country and its culture. I felt truly welcome. I'm very thankful for everything, thank you for making me feel at home!✨

This was my first volunteering experience on Worldpackers and it went really well! The hostel was very clean and everything was in good order when I arrived. the hostel is made up of two apartments with bunkbeds. My main responsibilities included keeping the apartments clean, preparing new beds for travellers, ensuring I collected accomodation costs from guests, and being welcoming to new guests. The workload really depended on the number of guests coming/going so some days were longer than others which meant throughout the week I had flexibility to explore around the city.

Dejan was very polite and eager to help and the work took shorter than anticipated. There was an instance of one of the guests leaving an unfavorable review during my stay, which was at least partly caused by miscommunication between the owner and me as a volunteer, but I believe we discussed that constructively. However, having to move into a mixed dorm with non-volunteers considerably decreased my sense of safety. For anyone whose comfort would not be significantly impacted by this, the other aspects of the stay could make for a good volunteering experience.

I got there and was expecting to be the sole volunteer. The hostel is not that large. There was another volunteer who was there who wasn't super friendly or welcoming. I think this would have been a more enjoyable experience with one volunteer. I was confused about why there were two. The hostel manager is consistently having volunteers move beds as a result of overbooking, and misbooking. He does not block out the bed for the volunteers and allow them to have consistency. He took another volunteer offsite to another hostel and also made me go there one night too. It felt unsafe.
