Fue mi primer voluntariado y fue muy bueno. Pude desconectarme un poco de la ciudad y mejorar mi alemán que era lo que quería. En lo primordial el trabajo es limpiar los establos y alimentar a los caballos. Esto puede ser bien físico, por lo que no recomendaría quizás tanto si te cansas muy rápido o no has hecho nunca trabajo de granja. El grupo humano es muy ameno. A true positive experience! The day to day life is physical and tiring. For those who aren't active now , I don't think you fit the needs of hosts. You scoop for about two hours a day, it's actually enjoyable. In the morning you feed the horses at 7am, then you scoop, at 12pm you let the horses out, at 4pm you bring them back and scoop, finally at 7pm you feed them again. For your free time you can chill or have lessons ! I recommend for those wishing an adventure in the farm life. The people are extreme kind and treat you as a team member, helping you out if needed and caring for u

My time here was a perfect mix of work outside, time to relax and learning new skills. Some of the work (cleaning paddocks/stables twice a day) is definitely physical, but I found it enjoyable. Otherwise, there are many other opportunities to help out with the animals, garden or inside the house, but nothing hard. In return, you get lovely meals and a lot of free time to go on walks or cycling (the area is ideal for both!). I also got to take part in riding and archery lessons! I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who likes animals, nature and working independently :)

I worked with the family here for five weeks in the summer. The expectations are extremely generous. For about two hours a day (but not all at once), you'll scoop poop with a small rake and long-handled dustpan into a wheelbarrow or electric cart. It's surprisingly enjoyable and meditative. You'll help in other ways for an hour or two in addition. Like most things in life, what you get out of this experience depends on what you put into it. If you're capable of the physical labor and prepared to take responsibility for horses, then you'll find this a fun and meaningful experience.

My stay in Steinhöring was a wonderful experience! Sabine and Hannah are incredible people, very motivated and clear about the tasks. They also gave me some archery and riding lessons, which I appreciate. The horses are truly the stars :) I had much fun working with and learning about them. They quickly earn their way into your heart. I wish all the best for everyone there!!

Hannah and her family made me so feel so welcome and at home. They were very flexible and encouraged me to see everything I wanted to see. I got to see everything I wanted, as well as learning a new archery style thanks to Hannah. I had an amazing time and will miss them and the animals.

I had a great experience here! Hannah and Sabine (and all of their family) are such great hosts and wonderful people. They received me with enthusiasm and they we're always willing to teach me new things. The horses are adorable and I learned a lot about them. I also had the chance to practice archery and a little the farm riding. My work wasn't hard (mostly feeding the horses and cleaning the stables and the field). The schedule was set a wording to the horses routine, but Hannah and Sabine were flexible to make sure I could also visit a few places in the region. I hope I can go back some day!

Glad to have experienced life at the farm! Hannah and her family had been very caring, supportive and available towards me. Working hours were respected, I'd managed to get a day off every week (asking in advance) and my effort and help were regularly appreciated. I'd slept in a comfy space just for me, eaten delicious meals, met some kind locals with whom I'd practiced my English and German, and visited nearby cities. Stay 100% recommended!
