At our hostel, you'll dive into a variety of tasks. You'll become our official monkey and baboon bouncer, ensuring they don't sneak in. Plus, you'll get to play paparazzi, capturing photos and videos of guests interacting with the local wildlife for our social media. You'll also lend a hand with meal prep, housekeeping, and a few random tasks. But don't worry, we tackle most things as a team and have a blast doing it!

Détails du programme

At our hostel, we truly value our volunteers and want to make sure you have an unforgettable experience!

As a volunteer, you’ll work 5 hours a day, usually in the afternoon to evening, alongside a small team (we typically host 3 to 4 volunteers at a time). Your tasks will include:

Helping with meal prep

Making yogurt, bread, rusks, and granola (yep, we make it all from scratch!)

Setting up breakfast and keeping common areas clean

Joining our Monkey Security Task Force to keep the local wildlife from stealing snacks 🐒

Assisting with light housekeeping (mainly dishes)

There’s plenty of room for creativity, and we love when volunteers bring their own flair to the experience!

In return, you’ll work with a fun, supportive team, live in a game reserve surrounded by zebras, giraffes, and other wild neighbors, and create lifelong memories in the heart of the African bush.

Activités et horaires

Volunteer Responsibilities at Our Hostel

As a volunteer at our hostel, your daily tasks will include:
Setting up the breakfast area
Performing light housekeeping duties
Restocking the fridge and pantry
Assisting with dinner preparation and post-dinner cleanup
Preparing breakfast items for the next day — we make everything from scratch, including bread, rusks, jam, yogurt, and granola
Interacting with guests and making sure they’re having a great experience
Acting as a party promoter for evening fun and events

On your days off, you’ll have the chance to join our daily tours for free and explore the beautiful surroundings (just note that entry fees for the park or specific activities are not included)

Règles

Must be fun-loving and ready for adventure.
Must be able to laugh at yourself and the occasional monkey mischief.
Must enjoy the company of both people and wild animals (especially the ones who might steal your snacks)!
