It was a very good and enriching experience. I had a lot of contact with the locals, experienced a very different reality, and had the chance to do some amazing tours, as well as getting to know this little piece of paradise where the volunteering takes place. At the beginning, I needed some time to adapt to the infrastructure, but after that everything flowed well. Overall, it was a very positive experience.✨❤️

Helen, Minh, Ben and the whole team are great and go above and beyond to take care of their guests and volunteers. They're all very accommodating and helpful! Being out of the city is really peaceful and you'll have plenty of time for your personal work or pursuits too. My main responsibility was to help create social media content/promo work for the lodge, but the work varies depending on the season/number of guests staying. I've genuinely enjoyed my time here and would absolutely recommend it to other travelers. :) Thank you to all the great staff who took such lovely care of me!

Grace is very friendly and adaptable; she is proactive and flexible, which are good skills to work and survive anywhere in the world hahaa. Because she has good soft skills, it is easy for the host to discuss the scope of work. Yes, it is great that we have you on our journey. Thanks a lot my beautiful girl, wish you all the best.

My experience at the home made me really happy! It was a week full of learning and spending time with amazing people. The food is great, the room is comfortable, and everyone is super nice and welcoming. As for the work, the shifts were pretty easygoing, but I feel like I could have helped more. If the tasks were assigned as soon as we arrived, I think we could have gotten more done (like the gardening, for example). But other than that, the hours are well-balanced, and the days off are respected. Thanks for the opportunity, Helen!

I stayed for 8 days at the home and had the best time!! Everyone cared for me and it just felt like a big family with me being a part of it. Everything was clean and cozy and the food was AMAZING🤩 As work we hosted a small event, where some english students came to the lodge and we played some games, ate together and just motivated them to speak english with us. Other things were gardening and some random tasks like cleaning the freezers. I've made many friends and i am so happy for the time. I would 100% recommend it!!Thanks so much to Helen and the rest of the team❤️

I want to thank everyone at the home, especially Helen, for all the kindness, attention, and everything she taught us during our volunteer stay. I'm really sorry for getting sick and not being able to help as much as I wanted. I hope we didn't let you down. The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with the river right at your doorstep. Local food, great people, just an amazing experience! Thank you so much for everything!

I liked my stay at the home :) You can really immerse yourself in the local culture because the place is quite remote and the people are nice! My main work included doing reception work, posting on social media and helping with serving the guests. Still, you will have a lot of freedom so I would recommend trying to learn how to drive the scooter so you can e.g. drive to Can Tho in 20 min. The highlight of my stay was probably still the kindness of one of the men that worked here, his name was Tuấn and he really cared for me, I will never forget him! Thanks for the lovely experience!

I loved the experience with this host. It was my first time volunteering and I couldn't have picked a better project. Helen and her team were really welcoming. I stayed at the lodge with a wonderful roommate, who also volunteered. The accommodation was clean and very nice. The food was delicious and they made you feel like a part of their family. I could spend much time with the locals, while working, eating and drinking together. I also could tag along many tours. My job was to paint the walls of their newly astablished bar. I could work on my own time and could implement my own ideas.

Helen and Wilson are really lovely and caring people. Both speak very good English and are funny. Together they make a great team! Our experience consisted of a full day activity with a neighbored language school for upcoming English teachers in the area. Our main task was to spend the day with the students and having conversations while. Helen and Wilson, who are honestly interested in reducing the plastic pollution in the beautiful area of the Mekong delta, structured the day in different activities all around the topic environment protection. I had the opportunity to stay at the home for a week being able to immerse into the Mekong's delta culture. The place is beautiful, relaxing, the food is delicious and Helen, Wilson and rest of the team are lovely! I guess during my stay it was low season so I didn't have that much to do, but my tasks were helping in general work of the homestay and helping in a cultural/ environmental awareness activity with a Language Center (which was so much fun!!). On my free time I could use the scooter or bicycle to explore the area or the next cities. I would definitely recommend it 😊😍

It has been a pleasure to volunteer at Muong the home. Helen and Wilson (our hosts) and their full staff team have been so welcoming and generous during our 10 day stay. We loved helping around the hostel with tasks like painting signs for the home stay, helping organising events for the locals which has been a great experience and fishing for the guests and us to eat at the lodge. This place is a true paradise ,my partner and I have loved every second of it! Thanks Helen and Wilson and everyone at Muong the home!
