Ha sido mi primer voluntariado y la verdad es que me ha gustado mucho trabajar allí . Las tareas son sencillas y tienes mucho tiempo libre para explorar tanto Brujas en profundidad como ver otra ciudades de Bélgica. Me hubiese gustado una mejor comunicación con los anfitriones ya que puede llegar a ser un poco caos y más si no tienes experiencia alguna como fue mi caso. La cocina de los voluntarios deja mucho que desear, está un poco abandonada y bastante desorganizada por lo tanto creo que es algo que deberían mejorar. Por lo demás lo recomiendo bastante y conoces a gente increíble!!!

I had a good time at the hostel. The work hours were very chill, just 5x4hr shifts a week, and the overall work was very easy. What really makes the experience here is who you volunteer with, and I luckily was with a really great group of people and we were able to support and encourage each other where needed. The facilities for the volunteers was a bit disappointing. The toilet in the volunteer apartment was broken the entire time, so we had to go into a different building. Not the end of the world, just a bit of an inconvenience. And the volunteer kitchen could get a bit chaotic.

The experience volunteering we had at the hostel was pretty good overall. We truly think there are some things that should be improved: firstly, the organization with the schedule, which may result in misunderstandings, and it is provided almosy every sunday, so you don't have any time to organize your free days as would like. Secondly, only one hour and one day per week is listed to clean the kitchen, and the volunteers fridge is chaotic. However, the work is light and the hours respected, the hosts are nice and Brugge is an astonishing city. So i truly recommend volunteering at the hostel.

Mi experiencia como voluntario en el hostal de Brujas fue bastante gratificante. Me lo pasé muy bien, el ambiente fue muy acogedor y tanto el equipo del hostal como los demás voluntarios fueron increíbles. Sí me habría gustado saber de antemano que el piso donde nos alojamos está separado del hostal y que puede quedarse algo pequeño para todos, especialmente porque solo hay un baño. También, los 50 € semanales para la compra alcanzan justo, y a veces la comida no dura toda la semana. Aun así, fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora, conocí personas maravillosas y me llevo recuerdos inolvidables.

Mi experienxia en el hostel fue muy buena! Pude conocer a mucha gente, tanto voluntarios como con locales. Los horarios de trabajo siempre se respetan y son muy flexibles para elegir tus días libres si lo avisas con antelación. Me divertí mucho durante estas 3 semanas, brujas e una ciudad preciosa y con mucho ambiente. Lo único mejorable sería el apartamento de los voluntarios, ya que al estar 10 personas se nos quedaba demasiado pequeño...

Bruges is an absolutely beautiful city and I had a wonderful time meeting people and spending time with the other volunteers. Tasks are easy however I wish there had been a little more communication about what exactly is expected of us in terms of tasks. Staff are a little bit difficult to get to know at first but overall most are friendly and helpful. I did have one very negative interaction with a staff member. Experience is mostly based off who you're volunteering with- if you have fun volunteers you will have an amazing time.

My experience at the hostel has some good and some bad parts. First of all, I really enjoyed the time with my lovely other volunteers! Also Bruges is a super historical city, you can discover a lot of things. In my opinion the group of volunteers is the most important thing at this place, because I didn't feel so included into the staff group. Also the communication about tasks and expectations were a bit too less. Maybe I'm a bit too sensitive for these things, but I wished we would feel more appreciated and welcomed from some staff members. Nevertheless thank you for everything!

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I'm very grateful for the people I met and the connections I made. I'm truly thankful for the time I spent at the hostel. The only point for improvement is communication regarding the tasks to be done. Many times, we didn't know what to do or how to do it. Apart from that, I'm very grateful to everyone.

I was part of a team of 9 volunteers, all of whom were great. The team was spilt between morning and evening. I was on the evening team working as a the hostel back. The work atmosphere was always pretty chill and the staff made the shift fly by with their friendly attitude. All in all a great experience, would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Belgium.
