Your leisure time you may spend f.e. Berlin which is very close, or stay with us, riding, working the horses or do what ever you like.

Détails du programme

Mainly I would love to have someone here, to help me with the horse breeding programme. Each year several foals are born on the ranch. First of all there will be night shifts in front of the camera to not miss their birth. After they are born, we have to make them people friendly and educate them. Most of the time I´m doing this allone, but sometimes it is better to have a helping hand. Also each spring and summer there is a lot of reproduction work to do with the mares. We do not breed them naturally, they have to be inseminated and you should learn to assist the veterinarian and me with the mares.
Also social media apperance is a big part of my daily work. To have some assistence in creating content (making pics, videos, stories for FB and Insta) would be great!

Activités et horaires

Everyone who works here also has to help clean out the stables. We all do that and it is important to understand that this simply is a necessary part of the daily life on a horse ranch. We start to muck the stalls in the morning at 7 am or 8 am (depends on the time of the year). The morning shift will be 2-3 hours. The rest of the day depends on the time of the year. Work on a farm & with animals changes with the seasons!

Règles

To work here, you must love animals.... also the experience of last year showed, it is absolutely necessary that you have some experience in handling horses You would also have to be someone who really wants to work with us, reliable, honest and friendly. If you would prefer to volunteer in a hostel f.e., but you can´t find one close to Berlin and so you apply on our place, you definitely will not be happy here. We made this experience last year and it was not a good one... not for us and not for the volunteer!
