Our stay in House the guest house was a really good experience. We helped with the hotel cleaning and making beds. Each afternoon we shared meals, watched some television and played games together, even if we didn't understand bulgarian, we felt at home. Yolina, Marie, Venko, Grandma and Max are an amazing family and we're really grateful for everything. We wish them luck with the project and we absolutely recommend it.

This experience was more than amazing!!!! Yolina (and the whole family) received us with incredible love and affection! We helped with the cleaning work, and everything we had to do was well explained and easy. I lived some of the most remarkable moments of my life during our time in Döbriach, and for sure an incredible culinary experience hahaha we walked a lot and saw splendid sunsets. I just have to thank <3 This is the kind of experience for those who want to get to know the Alps and also immerse themselves in a new culture, with a family that is willing to make this exchange!

They were wonderful days, Marie and her family are lovely, they welcomed us very well, we had really good moments! The work is simple and the meals are so great, Yolina is a veeery good cook. Around the village you can take good walks with views of the Alps. I loved the experience and hope to return soon ❤️

I had a really good experience since the beginning of my stay I felt like home, unfortunately I did not met Marie but the family are incredible, we spent lot of time around the table during the meals and to be honest I'm already missing the all of them and the food Work hours are good and lot of breaks for coffee and tea. Hope to come back and visit my favorite Bulgarian family.

Our stay at the guest house was amazing! Yolina and her family are incredibly generous and more than welcoming - we enjoyed every moment spent with them. We were fed very well and the work tasks and hours were exactly as agreed. We used the bikes, went for walks in nature and around the lake. The village is in a remote but beautiful area surrounded by mountains

I am ever so grateful for this experience. It was my first one and it couldn't have been better. The saying "House is the mirror of the soul" is very true in this case: the hosts are just as lovely as the house. I would advice you to go if you are not younger than 23 because the owner's daughter is very young but very mature for her age! :) II had amazing lunches and dinners, Maria is an extraordinary cook! The job is gentle and we would do it most of the time in 2/3 hours (we were 3!) The hiking we did by the lake and the woods were very healing, the autumnal weather was crispy and nice.

Marie and Arno (and also their cat Max) :) were amazing hosts. They explained everything and were realy welcoming. When we needed anythink, they make sure we are comfortable. The working hours were realy easy and flexible. When youre done, youre done. :) Work was about helping with kitchen cleaning after breakfasts, then cleaning the rooms after check-outs and small daily tasks. It was great that we could also borrow bikes. We spended lots of time just chatting around :) Also we had sometimes bbq in the evening, whitch was realy amazing. Thank you again for everythink :)

We are really greatful for Marie and Arno whom we could spent time with while working in the guest house hotel. They were helpful, explained everything well and spend time with us chatting when they had time :) Work was just about helping with kitchen after breakfasts, then cleaning the rooms after check-outs and small daily tasks. We lived in a beautiful clean room with shower etc., we could borrow bikes and went for a ride around the lake or use a small gym downstairs. In the morning we had an access to the breakfast as guests, I will miss the croissants for long <3 Definitely recommend!

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They were very easy going with work hours as long as the work got done well. They made sure I was comfortable and fed for breakfast and sometimes as a bonus, lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend anyone who is an independent worker come here because the town is beautiful and is a great way to slow down from the fast paced backpacking lifestyle and connect with nature! Marie is wonderful, but I do agree she can be quick to get angry or flustered and it leads to some uncomfortable moments, but not worth avoiding this amazing opportunity over!

Eventhough I had a short stay (1 week) at the host, I couldn't be more satisfied in terms of a reliable and beautiful place to stay. The work load requires volunteers that are willing to work responsibly, the surroundings are very peaceful thus perfect to hike, chill and connect with the nature (no nightlife in the village), the hosts Marie and Arno were very thoughtful and respectful and we shared nice talks and cooking moments :) if you like mountains, that's the place to be. I totally recommend the experience!
