Sem hesitar eu posso afirmar que aqui é onde todo voluntário gostaria de estar. Foram quase 5 meses na Casa Brynawel com algumas idas ao Toad Hall Hostel. Não foi apenas um voluntariado, foi para mim um lar. Bill e Louise, obrigada mais uma vez por todo o carinho e apoio, inclusive quando eu estive doente. Até breve!

I stayed for three months, and Bill and Louise are wonderful hosts! The hostel is homey and incredibly easy to look after. The bedroom I was given was large and solitary so I had plenty of time to study on my own. It did get a little bit chilly in the colder months but with some layers and extra blankets that wasn't a problem. the host feels very safe and the coast is less than five minutes away on foot! This was such an amazing experience and I am looking forward to returning in the spring. Thank you Bill and Louise! <3

Louise and Bil were really nice and fun hosts. They are patient and flexible, also very curious to hear about different cultures. I worked in both Machynlleth and the host. Machynlleth is more rural and has lots of hiking trails that you can explore alone. the host on the other hand is more urban. It doesn't have much to do, like big museums or big parties. It is a calm coastal city. I was lucky to work with other 2 volunteers, but there were times that things were too calm. Both are quiet places to reflect. I recommend it for those looking for a peaceful retreat.

I stayed one more month in Aberystwyth and once again it was a great experience! Bill and Louise are wonderful hosts and always supportive. The place is unique, right by the sea and castle ruins, with everything close by. Tasks are simple and flexible, usually shared with 1–2 volunteers. The private room with a double bed and a weekly food allowance makes it very comfortable. It's definitely a perfect place to rest, enjoy the view, and recharge! :)

I immediately fell in love with this place. Louise and Will are two excellent hosts and really good people, they made me feel at home and cared about me. It's a place that makes you want to work and a place that also gives you time to explore, and dedicate yourself to what you do. I take with me a wonderful experience and, in my heart, the most lovely people. The tasks are easy to do, it is a place that requires work but anyone who wants to can do it in a few hours.

Brynawel Bunch é uma casa grande e antiga localizada em uma pequena cidade de praia chamada Aberystwyth. A localização é perfeita, fica na rua principal da cidade com muitas lojas, supermercados e bares, em frente as ruinas do castelo e a apenas 5 minutos da estação de ônibus/trem. Os voluntários possuem quartos privados e recebem £ 40 na semana para comprar a própria comida. A cosinha e o banheiro com chuveiro é compartilhado. O trabalho consiste em manter o lugar limpo, organizado e realizar a arrumação dos 4 quartos de hóspedes a cada check out. Bill e Louise são anfitriões maravilhosos 🔝

I stayed in Aberystwyth, and it was much better than expected. Bill and Louise are amazing hosts! The view and location are incredible! It is right by the sea, next to castle ruins, and in the city center with everything within walking distance. There are only 4 private rooms, each with its own kitchen and bathroom, and cleaning depends on checkouts, so the tasks are light and easy. Usually, you share with 1–2 other volunteers, and there isn't much contact with guests. You get £40 weekly for food, and the best part is having a private room with a double bed. Perfect to rest and reorganize! :)

Thank you, Bill and Louise, for the opportunity! I stayed with them for three months, and it was a very pleasant experience in both in Machynlleth and Aberystwyth properties, each place had its highlights. The £40 per week was enough to cover my daily food expenses, the accommodation was comfortable and private, and the work was easy to learn and quick to get used to. The only downside for me was spending a few weeks alone. I'm generally fine with solitude, but it would have been nice to have more people around to talk to and explore Wales with.

I spent 2 months in Aberystwyth and all I can say is that I'm so grateful to Louise and Bill (who are two of the best hosts you could ask for) for the opportunity and for the experience as a whole. It was my first volunteering experience and I was really happy during those two months. The work is very easygoing, which gave me plenty of free time to study, exercise, and explore the town and the region. I don't know if it's because it was my first time volunteering or because it was truly a great experience, but whatever the reason, I'll never forget the time I spent in Wales. Thank you so much!
