The hostel was the best volunteer experience I've ever had. From the first day, I felt truly comfortable, welcomed, and at home. The people who volunteered with me were incredible, kind, open-hearted, and supportive. It felt like a small family from different parts of the world coming together. This experience gave me much more than just a place to stay or work. It gave me friendships, laughter, meaningful conversations, and a sense of belonging. I'm deeply grateful for everything I lived here, and I will carry the hostel in my heart forever.

I was welcomed and treated fairly. The hosts, staff, and volunteers blend into one big collaborative family who work together to look out for each other, ensure the jobs get done, and that guests are happy. It is a party hostel, but the work-to-reward ratio is generous. The hostel is exceptionally well managed with great facilities for guests and volunteers. It's perfectly situated close to all the hotspots of Georgetown. There are hostel tours that you can join to see more of Penang island too! I recommend it and express my gratitude for the opportunity. â˜ș

I had an amazing experience. Management was incredibly friendly and flexible, and made everything run smoothly. All the staff and volunteers were welcoming, supportive, and fun to be around, which created a really positive environment. Working with the events team was one of the best parts because it allowed me to explore the city while helping out. The bar/breakfast shifts were also really enjoyable!!!! TQ!!! <3 100% recommend

I had the best time at the hostel! My experience has been so good, I extended another 2 weeks! Honestly the staff/volunteers are amazing and so welcoming, they know how to have a good time and create a positive work environment. The staff house is also very lovely, and conveniently has washing machines and dryer! The work is simple, I was on events and it was so fun to show people around Georgetown/Penang!

It has been an amazing time at the hostel. The people are welcoming and warm. Besides that, the Hostel itself is great, I would go there as a guest if not as a volunteer. I was working the breakfast shift for 1 week and thereafter behind the bar in the evening/night. Both experiences have been amazing and I can only recommend this place.

I've been volunteering for a year now, and the hostel takes the cake. It's a big hostel - big enough that you won't be living with the guests, but your home will be nice, and you'll have everything that you need, on a fundamental level. My coworkers were great - I was surprised to have friends in their 30's at a party hostel, but here we are, and if you don't like to party? There's movies during the day, breakfast is wonderful, and plenty of space to carve out your niche. There's events every day, cheap drinks at the bar, and a home filled with heart.

Started slow, ended up beautifully. This is how I would sum up this stay. At the start you need some time to adjust to the tasks and to the group of volunteers that are already there but then, it's just nice and fun! Loved the whole volunteer and staff team đŸ€ It's also very cool to meet a lot of travelers and have the opportunity to connect with that many people! I learned new skills (hi and thanks reception team ✹) and had lots of fun! Georgetown is absolutely stunning, it's such a vibe and volunteering at the hostel is also a very nice way to have time to explore Penang ~

Whether you walk in knowing it or not, the hostel becomes family. You live and work and party together with the team, all while meeting a new round of international travelers every few days. My time at the hostel has left a lifelong impact on me and I will never forget the positive things I experienced here.

Staying at the hostel was such an amazing experience and so much fun! The best part of it was meeting so many lovely people including the owners Shane & Aliff, the other staff and volunteers aswell as the guests. Everyone is super open-minded and welcoming. The tasks are quite easy and you'll get a lot in return (accommodation, food, fun and friends hehe). Would recommend for everyone who likes to party and being very the hostel!!
