We provide 250+ students with free English, Computer classes & Chinese Class. We would love to have qualified volunteers to help during these classes. The following are the specific roles we are looking for:

-Qualified/ experienced teachers (Specifically English, Chinese or IT)
-IT Teacher/ IT Professional
-Sports Coach

Description: We ask all volunteers to pay a fee of $10 USD a day. This covers the cost of all food and ingredients which will be provided for you during your stay. Our staff are happy to take you to the market or the local town, this covers the cost of petrol. As we are a small NGO our running costs go up a lot when we have volunteers stay with us, this fee helps us with that.

Détails du programme

Your role is to improve the education of the students at Happy Hearts for the long term by training the Happy Hearts teachers as well as working with the students. When teachers are better equipped, the students will receive a better-quality education and the benefit is long-term. Since the teachers are volunteers, upskilling them is a small reward for their commitment to Happy Heart Organisation.

If you are interested in working with us then we would love to hear from you. We do ask that you tell us about your relvent skills or experiences which you think can help us work towards our vision. Activités et horaires

As we are an after-school education centre children won't start arriving until around 3pm. During the morning there may be some tasks for you to carry out e.g general maintenance of the school. At around 3pm the students will start to arrive and will be very keen to play games with you and practise their English by asking you many questions!

Classes start at 4pm, when you arrive we will tell you what class you would be the best fit for depending on your experience. For further information on acvtivies and what a day in the life at HHO looks like, please refer to our volunteer PDF on our website.

Règles

Please note: Your application will only be considered if you meet at least ONE of the following criteria.

-You have specific experience working in an education setting and have the skills and training to support this. We would love our staff to learn from you so they develop their skills.

- Are a TEFL-qualified teacher.

- Have experience teaching Chinese.

- Have experience in IT. We are looking at developing our computer classes and our IT teacher Sok would love to develop his own skills with you!

-Have experience in sports education /training. Our football team currently does not have a training programme or any form of training. We would love to hear from you if you think this is something you can support us with.
