We really loved our stay with Janos place. We had to work 3 hours a day, wo we had a lot of free time to travel around and chill. Our work was maoty gardening and qe truly loved it! The place has a bicyle for the vounteers and Janos always buys is everything for breakfast. He was really flexible with everything. The place is really nice and connected wit nature! This place is not 5 str hotel right now takig to account! But every body here is very nice and the surrojndibg is really worth everything. Really goos for first volunteering and beyond!

Para mi fue una experiencia increíble, viviendo en la simpleza, conectando con un entorno maravilloso, también con animales, naturaleza y hermosas personas. La proactividad para mantener el lugar limpio es muy importante, pues uno es responsable de su propio espacio y de los espacios comunes. El trabajo va variando cada día, lo cual a mi me pareció mucho más dinámico. Hay flexibilidad y buena disposición a la hora de intercambiar ideas con Jano! Hay dos hermosas playas a las que ir después del trabajo. En conclusión, lo recomiendo 100%!!

Great time in the farm, Jan is a super friendly and chill owner. The place is a beautiful Finca some km far away from town of Cahuita and 1 km from the beach. At disposure a bike to share with the others volunteers. I worked mostly like gardener, simple and easy task. Helped with chicken, dogs and cats and maintenance of the house. Enough free time to enjoy beach, nature and the Cahuita town. I had a single comfortable room. All the house is under construction but you'll have the essential and many more. Thank you Jan for your hospitality and friendship. I hope see you and Rafael soon.

Jan was not physically present but was able to be available by telephone for the slightest problem. I wish I had the chance to meet him in person. His dog Tequila who we had to take care of is adorable.

Hola! Yo se, son reglas de las selva, en latinoamerica la vida es dura, ni se preocupan por vida humana, menos animales, con murcielagos no se puede hacer nada, son parte de la naturaleza. Se escribio esto en las reglas. Gracias por todos modos.

La finca es linda y aún está en construcción. Rodeada de vegetación y naturaleza. A 15' caminando está Playa grande de Cahuita y el pueblo a 10' en bus. Las tareas se realizan por la mañana, son 3 hs y requiere de esfuerzo físico a veces, por lo que el calor de la zona por momentos hace que sea todo más intenso. Rafa es el encargado y dirige las tareas, es muy paciente y atento para explicar lo que hay que hacer día a día. Fue un gusto poder trabajar con él. Aprendí más de carpintería . Y hay hermosos gatos y un perro Rocky que le dan amor al lugar.

Me sentí en casa lejos de casa. Jan pendiente de la llegada, que tengas todo lo que necesites y de responder cualquier duda, tb nos compartía lugares que podías recorrer luego del trabajo. Rafa muy preocupado del bienestar de los voluntarios, me ayudó muchísimo y me hizo sentir parte de la familia. Se aprende bastante, conoces a personas de distintas partes del mundo y el lugar es hermoso para desconectarse. Las 3 horas de trabajo diario están bien y se puede disfrutar la tarde. Como acotación me gustaría haber sabido previamente que hay problemas de agua en el lugar, para poder prepararme.

Really friendly people with lovely dogs and cats! Could do with more structure on what tasks they would like the volunteers to complete. Overall a good experience!

Dear Chloe! I gave you complete freedom as when you would like to do your jobs and also much less, than was expected. I don't understand the 3 points. I though you had a good time. You also came later and left earlier, which means I lost workhours, still I have good ratings, as you were nice and made a clean job. I hope you will find better opportunities for your taste in the future.
