Volunteering at the hostel was a lovely experience. I worked at the reception for 6 hours, 3 days per week. The tasks are easy and they teach you how to do them properly. What I find interesting about this opportunity is that the managers trust us to be in charge of the reception. I made friends from all over the world including volunteers and guests. It's an enjoyable experience, every day there's an activity to do and enjoy all together.

This experience was genuinely one of the greatest times ever! the hostel was my first official stop on my European adventures and I can honestly say it became like a home to me. Kate, Aris and Julia work so hard everyday to ensure that the hostel is a comfortable, welcoming and fun environment for both guests and volunteers. They are always willing to answer questions and flexible with the shift-rostering, and maybe most importantly they are so kind and supportive of every volunteer. Loved this experience, would highly recommend.

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't feel more lucky! Both Aris and Kate are lovely hosts and make you feel welcome and comfortable to be around anytime, just like when you're at your own home. That's beautiful to see how committed they are to this project and take efforts to make the hostel a nice and familiar environment. It was amazing sharing this month with the other volunteers, who were also engaged with their duties and like-minded regarding to principals of living in a community space. Having said that, I just can hope to meet them again soon!

Aris, Kate, and Julia the manager are all very warm and welcoming people. I immensely enjoyed volunteering here. Schedules were flexible and considerate. The leaders have clear communication. There were consistent events and get togethers. the hostel is an ideal hostel environment. 1 month felt like too short of a time.

The best thing in the world is being in the world and feeling somehow at home. Kate and Aris are two hosts who make us feel welcome. The work is easy to do and it's all collaborative. Work shifts are well organized and breaks respected. I highly recommend @bathbackpackers

That was a first experience and what a nice one! Aris, Kate and Julia (along with all the volunteers) are a welcoming, respectful and fun team. They care about you. They try to be practical for everybody and want you to feel a part of the hostel's life. I enjoyed every minute of it. The hostel is a beautiful building where you easily feel like at home. the hostel is gorgeous and a city where you make everything on foot. Just go for a walk, have tea or a nice dinner. You can lay in every park of the city. Trouble…there's a disco ball missing! Thank you so much! I hope to see you again :)

First of all, it was my first experience as volunteer and... it was so difficult to say bye to all group of staff and customers at the end of the adventure Enthusiasm, high level of cleanliness and organization within the hostel backparkers teamwork. I found good vibes and pleasant welcome "Improve English", this is the reason that gave me the motivation to set off. During the journey I met new friends and shared precious time together. I didn't know the hostel and I discovered that it is a beautiful place to visit Roman baths, nightlife, nice churches and immerse yourself in the woods around

Muy buena experiencia! El trabajo es sencillo y te deja muchísimo tiempo libre para conocer Inglaterra y el hostel (que es precioso) Aris y Kate te hacen sentir bienvenido desde el principio y hacen todo lo posible para que te sientas cómodo en el voluntariado. Te preguntan al principio de cada semana que días y horarios prefieres trabajar, lo que se me hizo muy considerado y ayuda mucho para organizarte como viajero :) La ubicación del hostal muy buena, los cuartos para voluntarios muy lindos (hombres y mujeres separados) y la relación con los demás voluntarios y los huéspedes es muy buena :)
