It was a great experience! I enjoyed challenging myself with some heavy physical labor. Unfortunately, the house is quite remote, and getting around the island, which is stunning, isn't easy without a car. I would have liked to learn more, especially about agriculture, working most of the time in a vegetable garden AND, my fault, I underestimated the physical problems that can arise from a sudden switch to a the home diet 🫠

Mi experiencia en la casa fue muy bonita, conviviendo con personas internacionales de distintos países, y fue muy fácil la convivencia. En cuanto al trabajo, me gustó ya que te hace partícipe de la evolución de su jardín, y tienes muchas horas también para visitar la isla. Tuvimos un gran grupo h viajamos juntos, lo que me hizo disfrutar más aún. Experiencia recomendada!

Toda la experiencia fue muy buena, el trabajo en la huerta aunque a veces es repetitivo también es divertido y las horas se respetan. Hay muchas actividades por realizar en las horas libres y los fines de semana pero si se necesita carro para la mayoría de ellas. El espacio es muy lindo y muy comodo. Tuna (el gato) es un gran compañero.

I had an amazing time here! the home are a stunning place to immerse yourself into nature, but you'll need a car to make the most out of it. Work was quite physically demanding: definitely come here only if you are already fit and willing to sweat. Also make sure to bring clothes that you can ruin, as you will get dirty. Thomas, the host, is a very nice, knowledgeable and interesting person (and a great poker player!) with four beautiful cats. He can sometimes be perceived as a bit harsh during work, but he's also very patient and kind. Working hours were always respected to the minute.

Volunteering with Thomas was a good experience. Work was phisically demanding, it was mostly digging the terraces down his property. The place is really calm, relaxing and with beautiful landscape. The volunteers were really nice, we rapidly got along and managed to do most of the touristic activities on the island, but having a car for it is a must. Thomas is a nice guy, but he is quite shy and introvert, so most of the talking happened during work time. It would have been good to get more feedback about the work from time to time and to be able to socialize more with him, but it's ok.

This was my 1st Worldpackers experience, and I loved it. I feel reborn here! Thomas is a nice host he even invited us once for a delicious dinner! The work is a bit intense but manageable at 3 hours a day🙂 You learn to use tools for digging, removing weeds, and cutting branches and roots. I can't wait to see the finished terraces. The volunteer house has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The volunteers group was great, we had good moments all together. the home are incredible lot of amazing trails 🥾 In summary, it was an excellent experience and I highly recommend it!

Thoma's place was my first Workaday experience. I would have liked him to be a bit more involved with us, but overall, I had a very good time with the people I met during my time over there. We did a lot of activities together, and even rented a car to explore the island (you will need that as well at some point). Plus, I recommend you becoming an expert in bus schedules & hitchhiking, this last one was pretty fun to do around the island. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous and the home food is very delicious. The work consists of 4 hours a day and it is physically demanding, be aware.

My experience the home was overall positive. Working hours were always met, and everything went according to agreement. In addition, I felt total freedom in managing my free time. the home is a nice place to stay and meet people from all over the world in a relaxed and youthful atmosphere. The only thing I would have expected different is more collaboration and human exchange with Tomas, the host, because it would have certainly enriched the experience since despite the cryptic surface, you can sense that he is an interesting person with many experiences behind him.

It was my first experience and I am grateful for the fact that it was at Tomas's the home. He was a very good host and an excellent cook. Everything was according to the agreement.
