As a housekeeping volunteer, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team. You’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents.

Duties include: everyday general cleaning, including the cleaning of showers, toilets, bedrooms, public & communal areas, external areas, kitchens, and dining room.

This is a morning shift: 08:30 - 12:30 (including weekend)

Our amazing team of volunteers donate over 150000 hours of their time and considerable skill to support the organisation.

As a housekeeping volunteer, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations as part of the housekeeping team. You’ll help to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness for our residents.

1. Everyday general cleaning and duties covering all areas and to include: the cleaning of showers, toilets, bedrooms, public & communal areas, immediate external areas, kitchens and dining room.
2. Occasional special cleaning, e.g. carpet cleaning, deep cleaning areas, oven cleaning, washing down walls, laundry, cleaning vents and inside of windows.
3. Changing bed linen, counting and preparing laundry for collection.

Activités et horaires

A minimum of 20 to 24 hours a week.

When you are offered a role, the exact times of day will be confirmed. In general, our volunteers are required either in morning, late afternoon or evening shifts.

You’ll have 2 days off per week depending on how the hours are split for the week.

Règles

Volunteers stay in our shared single-sex dormitories with other volunteers. It depends on the hostel and the availability as to how many other volunteers you will be staying with, but it will be between 2-4 other people. The maximum stay is 6 weeks.
