My time at the alpaca farm was truly a great experience! Kari-Anne & her family made me feel so welcomed & at home. Her home cooked dinners were so so good!! Alpacas are of course such cute and calming animals & I have learnt a lot from working with them! The work is mostly alpaca care & cleaning igloos up in the forest but i had the opportunity to help out at the christmas markets as well!! :) I got to explore surrounding areas as well as Oslo & in general felt very cared for by the family, i would recommend this farm to anyone who loves animals & wants a break for the mind!! Much love xxx

This was my very first experience with Worldpackers and I couldn't have wished for a better start. The whole family is very warm and welcoming. Kari-Anne is attentive and makes sure we have everything we need. The home-cooked food was always a highlight. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's wonderful to be surrounded by all these cute alpacas. The work mainly consists of keeping the alpaca enclosures clean and refilling the hay nets. In addition, the igloos in the forest need to be cleaned after each check-out.

This is a truly great experience that I can't recommend enough. Kari-Anne is an absolute sweetheart and her family are extremely welcome and nice. Alpacas are very chill and calm animals, so cute to be around! The work at the farm mostly feeding and endless poop picking (and it's heavier than you'd think!). There's also some chickens and bunnies but they're very light work. Usually you also have to go up the forest and clean some igloos, notice that this is a bit more physically demanding that you'd think as it's carrying a heavy backpack and big jugs of water. In summary, loved it! <3

Volunteering at Kari Anne's farm in Aurskog was one of the most beautiful and heartwarming experiences of my life. From the very beginning, her kindness, care, and clear communication made me feel safe and welcomen . Each day brought joy :) spending time with the alpacas, chickens, and rabbits was magical, and the work felt light and meaningful. The house was cozy (I had it to myself!), the food was amazing, and most of all, Kari Anne and her lovely family made me feel like part of theirs. I'll always be grateful for the love and trust they shared. Truly unforgettable. 💚

My experience with Kari-Anne, Geir and Licke-Leandra was super. I felt immediately welcomed and found a super friendly and helpful family. It was a unique experience, especially working in close contact with alpacas. Hard not to love them. Kari-Anne also always tries to make you feel at home and comfortable, meeting your needs. An experience of nature, animals and Norwegian culture that will leave a lasting impression on you.

I had an amazing time at the farm! I learned a lot about farm tasks and animal care, and the work environment was peaceful, surrounded by nature. Kari-Anne and her family are very welcoming and attentive to volunteers' needs. The igloos need cleaning a few times a week, mostly on weekends when there are reservations. I was alone for nearly a month and the house where I slept was super big, comfortable and the views were stunning. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm thankful for their support and patience with me, even when I was struggling with some things! 🤗

I absolutely recommend Alpaca Farm. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I learned so many new things about alpacas and connecting with nature, and about discpline, perseverance and believing in my potential. Kari-Anne and her beautiful family taught me lessons I will carry with me for the rest of my life. They are lovely and caring people. If you want to connect with nature, get to know alpacas and an authentic farm life, this is for you. And of course the beautiful scenery of Norway is always a plus. Thank you for inspiring me! I stayed at this beautiful place for about 3 weeks. I felt very welcome as soon as I arrived. The work was not to physically demanding and the working hours were always respected. I shared an apartment with my roommate while enjoying the incredible view over fields. During my stay I cleaned the enclosures, fed the animals, cleaned the igloos, painted outdoor toilets and sorted some fibre. Kari-Anne and Geir were great hosts and make you feel like home! I can definitely recommend this place!
