The hostel was a great first volunteer experience. I definitely recommend other travelers to stop by. I was able to develop deep bonds with my other volunteers and make friends with the local staff members. Everyone was very welcoming and sweet. The work was reasonable and the staff was good at working with and guiding the volunteers. When we first arrived, there was a transition of leadership which left room for some miscommunications but overall a fantastic experience.

I LOVED my time at the hostel. It's always the people that make the place special and the hostel it is special. From al the colleagues and other volunteers everyone was awesome!! Of course Flores itself didn't disappoint at al. It was beautiful and I'm planning on going back someday!😄

Lovely experience over all! Had so much fun with everyone, both international staff and local staff. Great way of learning Spanish as well. You meet a lot of travelers in the hostel as well. The work was really fun! I was mostly either bartender or host, and had a lot of fun, so it didn't feel like working. Everyone was really sweet, and I really recommend the hostel! Only thing to be aware of is, that you will be staying in dorms in a volunteer house outside of the hostel, so don't expect luxury;)

✨ Mi estancia en el hostel fue perfecta, me encanta el lugar los compañeros voluntarios y las personas del staff, el lugar es muy agradable y las personas te hacen sentir como en casa 🩵 La isla de flores es pequeña pero hermosa, no es ruidosa y ( como mujer viajando sola) puedo decir que es un lugar muy seguro, vale mucho la pena visitarla, siempre encuentras muchas cosas divertidas por hacer, 👌✨

My experience at the hostel was amazing from beginning to end! Simply outstanding and lovely. I stayed a total of 6 weeks cause I simply didn't wanna leave. I fully recommend you to be with these guys when looking for the best time ever.

The hostel was great. Definitely a great way to cheeply travel as you get your stay, good and huge discounts of tours. I made friends with the other workers. The only complaint is that the room I was first placed in had bugs and was very hot. Later once a better room became available I was able to switch into a room with AC. The dinners were also sometimes repetitive but you get to make money from tips which is cool and I would buy groceries like nachos and eat that sometimes.

The staff of the hostel is super friendly and made the hostel a home far away from home. I looked after the daughter of Matthias in the afternoons and it was a super fun time. The doorm was a place for sleeping & not more. But there is a volunteer-house under construction so the atmosphere will be a lot nicer in the future. Medellin (manager responsable for volunteers) is super busy but always takes time to listen to your questions and take care of you. Flores is a nice place to spend a month - you have a lot of options for trips on you days off & the lake is always at your front door.

Great if you enjoy being roommates with cockroaches! The other volunteers were the only good thing here, unfortunately management is very disorganised, the hostel and volunteer house is confusing, unhygienic, smelly, unreliable, gave me food poisoning. Door AND window to my room were broken causing safety concerns, random people have keys to the house and walk in. I was often made to feel uncomfortable while working, and they dismissed me via text message a week before my leave date after I mistakenly ate someone else's pizza. Apparently I'm one of many volunteers who ended up leaving early.
