If you're looking for a truly meaningful, off-the-beaten-path adventure, this volunteer program is exactly where you need to be. I spent three weeks with the organization (I even extended my stay because I loved it!). From day one, I felt really welcomed : whether it was Bernabé, Ingrid, or Alvaro, they truly cared about making sure everything went well and made me feel confident as a solo traveler. I had the chance to volunteer with different groups, from children to elderly people and young mothers. It's a truly human experience, one that stays with you for a long time.

I had a great time volunteering. I really appreciated that they first showed you how to navigate in the city and presented themselves always as available if you 'd run into any problems. I was volunteering in 3 different projects with children and elderly people which let me get to know different social situations. I was staying with a host family for the time being and they made me feel like at home. On weekends I planned my own freetime or sometimes they invited us to join them for a little trip. I am thankful for the experience and fell in love with the city, thank you the organization!

I loved being a volunteer at the organization! Bernard and Ingrid were so nice and helpful in all my time being there. Even though my Spanish wasn't very good I managed to learn a lot and get by in the different projects.

My time with the organization in Huancayo was truly unforgettable. I joined the project working with children and young mothers, and from the very first day I felt welcomed, valued, and part of something meaningful. Huancayo itself is a beautiful and vibrant city, far from the typical tourist path, which allowed me to immerse fully in the culture. If you're looking for an authentic, impactful, and heart-warming volunteer opportunity, I can't recommend the organization enough.

I volunteered for one month in April 2025. It has been an amazing experience. Bernabé, Ingrid and their team have been very welcoming, always around to help, and are very warm and friendly people to be with. The volunteer accommodation has a kitchen and cozy living room. This experience has offered me an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of rural Peruvian culture, as well as some of the difficulties that some of the local vulnerable communities face in everyday life. I also had time to explore the surrounding natural beauty, and improved my Spanish.

Greatly enjoyed my month with the organization! The team was very accommodating and flexible with my interests and needs and helped me settle in smoothly. I felt I had plenty of time to explore the city and its beautiful surroundings, and learned a lot about the organization's healthcare while helping at the clinic. Although I came as a medical volunteer, all the volunteers help with project Casa with the kids, which was so fun and fulfilling. I would highly recommend working with the organization to anyone looking for an authentic experience of living in the organization!
