Volunteering here was truly life-changing and made my birthday magical, unforgettable. The center is beautiful: outstanding temple, delicious food shared in community, multilingual library, and breathtaking views of Lago Maggiore. You can even hike to a forest waterfall. I worked as 'kitchen hand' cleaning dishes after meals in a group. I arrived in time for New Year's Winter Course': daily meditations, inspiring teachings, puja cerimonies and even an opera concert. Deeply positive, peaceful energy. People are kind, loving, genuine. The Brazilian monk and members made me feel at home. Grazie❤

What an experience atthe Center. This is a wonderful way of disconnecting from the buzzy cities and entering such silent nature. You may learn (if you wish) much about the Tibetan Buddhism philosophy which for me was a huge plus. There are the activities daily in the temple you can be part of. Accommodation is cozy, food is delicious, and the place can be full packed with guests on weekends so if you are more introverted, expect to socialise loads. Work is just fine, not too heavy or dificult and hours are respected.

It was an amazing time. The place, the people, the food, the possibility to join the classes in the Gompa everything was perfect. At the first moment I felt welcomed. It was also possible to stay two weeks longer. It's a good place to go hike, to jointhe Center classes, to meet people from all over the world. When I left, I had tears in my eyes. It's a special place.

My time atthe Center was so restorative and fun. The place is incredibly peaceful, with lovely waterfalls to swim in, views to admire, books to read and instruments to play. Everyone here is so kind and I met some lifelong friends. The work was easy and flexible. The food was delicious, and the classes were informative. I would highly recommend this experience, especially for backpackers looking for a reprieve from the hectic lifestyle of travelling.

Fue una experiencia maravillosa. El lugar esta enclavado en un sitio privilegiado. Las vistas son alucinantes. Te podes relacionar tanto con locales como con gente de varios países. El ambiente es tranquilo y relajado. Tienes tiempo para participar de las actividades del centro, podes asistir a todas las ceremonias, mientras no interfieran con tu horario de trabajo y conocer sobre Budismo. También podes explorar cerca del centro y descubrir lugares mágicos.El personal estable del centro es muy amable y dispuesto a colaborar siempre.

It's an amazing place to spend some time away from busy life. The work is easy and fun because you're always with other volunteers. I had a lot of time to explore the nature around the temple and attend events in the temple. The community is very open minded and creates a welcoming surrounding for everyone <3

Volunteering atthe Center Lama Gangchen changed me in visible and invisible ways. The team is generous and kind, the temple's activities are rich and meaningful, and the energy of the place helps you reconnect with yourself and your path. I felt truly supported and reminded that I am exactly where I need to be. I'll carry this experience with me, with deep gratitude.

Spending time inthe Center allowed me to meet a lot of different people with lifestyles out of the ordinary. Also, most of the buddhist practices are open for volunteers, so this place is great to open up your mind :) The center and the temple are on a moutain, surrounded by the forest, so if you are looking for a peaceful time and for nice spots to hike, I definetely recommend coming ! Just be aware of the fact that the center is not super easy to access from Milan, the best is to take a train to Laveno, then a ferry to Intra, then the bus to the center.

El centro es un lugar maravilloso , rodeado de naturaleza y personas bien predispuestas a ayudarte en lo que sea necesario. Ideal para quien busca encontrar/se o desarrollar su espiritualidad , conocer personas de todas partes del mundo y acercarse al budismo , ya que podes asistir a todos los cursos o eventos disponibles.
