L'expérience

We are looking for someone with experience with Wordpress to edit and design our website and write content. If you are fluent in English, we might have you help us communicate with guests at our camp.

You will enjoy a diverse range of activities from joining us on tours and hikes, to helping out in our beautiful desert camp. We will welcome you like a member of our family and be shown true bedouin hospitality.

Détails du programme

We will need help a few hours a day to edit and design our website, write content, and take photos and videos for us. Your schedule will be flexible depending on what is happening at the camp. The rest of the time you will be able to enjoy everything Wadi Rum has to offer.

You will stay with us in our home and/or a tent in camp depending on the number of tourists staying with us. This way you will get to experience life in both the village and the desert camps themselves. You will have access to all of the shared facilities of our camp such as the bathroom, showers, kitchen, living area, and outdoor spaces.

We do ask that our volunteers be willing to pitch in and help out if we need it in other areas. We do have staff in the camp, but if we need additional assistance with housekeeping tasks or camp improvement projects here and there, we hope our volunteers will help.

Activités et horaires

There are plenty of activities available for our volunteers!

Your main responsibility will be to improve our website (bedouinnightscamp.com), assist with booking.com reservations, TripAdvisor, and responding to guest inquiries and reviews.

You will also be invited along on tours with our tourists as well as the cultural events that we hold for our tourists such as traditional Bedouin songs and stories. On the tours, you will take photos for social media which will count towards your shift.

Other shifts will involve researching ideal hashtags and social media strategies for us, as well as writing social media and website content for us to save to use in the future.

Règles

Please be respectful of other volunteers and guests.

Please clean up after yourself in the public spaces.

If guests ask you questions about the camp or need anything in the camp, please ask the camp manager, Mohammed. He is on-site to take care of the guests.
