I had a great time at the hostel. The place is nice and the work is not difficult. I had a lot of time to hang out and know more about the life in Taipei. Special thank's to May, Ellie and Lyn who helped making the hostel a nice place to live in and to Ash, Aurora and all the volunteers for those many moments I will not forget 😊 I recommend for those seeking to have time to discover Taipei, the location is also very convenient!

Volunteering at the hostel was such a good experience. It's very close to transport, food and all the fun spots, so exploring the city was super easy. The team was friendly, organised and made everyone feel welcome. The work was fair and chill, leaving plenty of free time. We even got home-cooked meals, which made the experience feel even more special. I also got great recommendations for places to eat and visit, including some hidden local gems. We had several outings with all the volunteers, and Ash (receptionist) was very kind to show us around and translate at the night markets and arcade.

The location is pretty good, and the work is easy—especially on weekdays. What stood out most were the people, both the fellow volunteers and the staff at the hostel. Ash, Aurora, and Ellie in particular were such sweethearts. One thing worth mentioning is that there is no “real” cleaning staff; the volunteers and receptionists, who occasionally help out, are the only cleaners. This means some areas don't get cleaned regularly and can feel a little dirty. Otherwise, the work is straightforward and easy to do, and I still recommend coming here.

I had a great time at the hostel in Taipei. The location of the hostel is super central and its easy to reach the must-visit places either by foot or by public transport. The host is very nice and has great cooking skills. The work is not too hard and you'll often be finished earlier on weekdays. Anyways definitely come here if you want to explore Taipei !

I loved my time in Taipei, the city is amazing and has so much to offer! the hostel is a nice place to work and live, 10/10 location, it's just not a very social hostel which disappointed me in the beginning but luckily the other volunteers were nice and it's easy to meet people outside. The work is also fair and easy especially when there are more volunteers. I felt very comfortable here, thank you so much for this experience! 🙌🏼

As my first Worldpackers experience, this was an incredible way to start. Had a wonderful experience at Dans Hostel, all the staff and volunteers were a pleasure to work with. May was a kind manager and accommodating. The work load was fair and I always had time to explore Taipei afterwards.

I really enjoyed working at this hostel, the tasks are simple and usually don't take too long, +/- 1h30 and then you have the whole afternoon to enjoy Taipei, and 2 days off in a row to go for a trip somewhere else, which is really convenient. And everybody is really nice. Thank you for this opportunity
