My time volunteering here was an incredibly positive and fun experience. There were plenty of fun activities to do, so you definitely won't get bored even in the low season, and the tasks were very easy. Majority of the time it didn't feel like work at all. I really appreciated how kind and approachable the staff were, and having breakfast and lunch included was a huge plus and really convenient. Overall I would definitely recommend volunteering at the hostel :)

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience! I loved being part of the hostel events, meeting amazing people, and enjoying the fantastic food. The activities were a highlight—Sunday hikes to Bonnehytten were breathtaking, and the ice skating followed by relaxing in the sauna was simply unforgettable. The atmosphere at the hostel was warm and welcoming, and I felt like part of the community from day one. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves adventure, great food, and making wonderful connections!

My experience at the hostel was truly magical. From the first minute, everyone was so welcoming that I immediately felt at home. Each day offered something new and meaningful, from meeting incredible people from around the world to forming warm, genuine connections. The beautiful nature around Bergen made everything even more special, giving me endless freedom to explore, grow, and enjoy unforgettable moments. I honestly fell in love with the program and with Bergen, and I am already looking forward to the day I can return. I am truly thankful for everyone and everything.

Had such a great time here! it's really a good deal, because basically the only tasks you have to do is all the fun stuff like doing cool activities (for free!) and being social with the guests (you'll meet many lovely people). I was here mid September and October and during this time you'll notice that less people will join the activities, but I quite liked the smaller groups. the only thing that could be better at the hostel is the food. I really had to cook some extra veggies for myself from time to time. but besides from that I have nothing negative to say about the hostel! would recommend :)

The hostel feels like home pretty soon and it gets better day by day. The beauty of the place is priceless. There is so much to do with the guests in and around Bergen and the job is so pleasant it doesn't feel like a job most of the time! The staff is incredibly friendly, whatever time of the day or night you will have someone lovely around to help you or to just have a chat with. Mats and Mari are kind and helpful, and Philine and Gergely were the best fellow volunteers I could have dreamt of. Special mention to Atle for adopting us and driving us around! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone.

Spending one month volunteering in Norway was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I couldn't name a single thing that didn't go perfectly... everything from the breathtaking places around to the incredible people made it unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and inspiring every single day. I even celebrated my birthday here, and honestly, it was one of the best I've ever had, in this absolutely amazing sunset at the TOP of mount Ulriken and with this super team. This place has a special place in my heart, and I'll definitely return as soon as I can! ❤️

Volunteering here has been one of the best experiences I've had while traveling. I felt super welcomed, the staff is incredibly nice and the manager Mats always takes care of everyone. As volunteers we were treated perfectly, really as part of the team and the community. What I loved the most is that the tasks were always fun, including activities with the guests, like hiking, sauna, bonfires, walking tours around Bergen, etc. You never get bored! And of course, the hostel itself is amazing, it's up on the hill and the view is one of the best in Bergen. 100% recommended!

Volunteering at the hostel, should be absolutely in your bucket list! It was really fun experience and I recommend this to anyone who likes being in social environment, hiking and being part of community events ! So much to do, many fun activities ( sauna, board games, karaoke, bonfire nights, signing and playing different instruments). Apply without any hesitation! Stuff was really friendly and polite, I already miss them

This was my first volunteer experience and I loved every moment of it! Bergen is a truly magical place, and the flexibility of the volunteer position really allows you to explore the area as you wish. I highly recommend this experience to anyone hoping to enjoy nature while also connecting socially.
