This was my first ever volunteering experience, and I cannot wait to come back next year! Russell is amazing, he was always making sure we had whatever we needed and taking care of us. The team was fantastic at the language school which is really close, and the students are very friendly and easy going. Daejeon is a great place to stay with many activities to offer, you can easily get to Seoul, Busan etc on ktx or bus. I was extremely lucky with my roommates, but I can tell why everyone in the past had a great time at the dorm. Get ready to make lifelong the coliving here !!

I had a nice time at the language studio! The Koreans who go to the studio are really fun people to talk to and their English is good! The other volunteers were also nice. The studio and the apartment are near each other and there are plenty of things to do in the area. I recommend taking the path along the river when going between the studio and the apartment!

I had so much fun here in Daejeon. The work was pretty easy, and Russel was so kind, always making sure we were comfortable! We worked 4 hours a day and could choose the days we worked, so it was really nice! The students were super sweet and very welcoming. If you come here, I recommend going to Dunsan-dong! It's about 10-15 minutes away from the accommodation, and there are lots of clubs, arcades, pubs, etc. Overall, my experience was lovely, and I would definitely stay here again!

My experience in the language studio at Daejeon was amazing! I really enjoyed talking with the students and learning from them. Russell is always making sure that you're having a good time and when the first day you arrive he tells you that you're not a volunteer, but his friend, he really means it. I only wish I could have stayed longer! P.S. Daejeon is not a boring city at all, there are plenty of things to do despite what some people might say! :D

I spent two weeks at this volunteer program and it was an amazing experience. The English conversations were fun and meaningful, and I met some really great people. The host was very kind, always helpful, and even bought food for the apartment every week, which we really appreciated. The other volunteers were also wonderful, friendly, supportive, and great to be around. Overall, everything was perfect. I'd definitely recommend this place and would happily come back again!

My experience at the language café in Daejeon was amazing. Russell treated us super well, always kind and helpful. The work was really easy and fun, the students were adorable, and the other volunteers were honestly the best part. We also had plenty of free time to explore the area or hang out together. I would totally recommend it.

The Daejeon language studio is a good opportunity to meet with lots of local Koreans as well as other international Worldpackers volunteers. I would hope that anyone considering this is prepared and willing to talk for hours with students and help them practice and learn English by thinking about what will be most helpful for them. Being reluctant to do so is a disservice to the language students. Russell is kind, accommodating, and flexible. He provides a variety of food and listens to individuals' needs. I would highly recommend this for people who are truly curious about others!

It's a good experience for volunteering as a conversationalist to the language studio. I engaged with diverse Koreans and practicing English with them and learn about some Korean the coliving at the same time. The accommodation provided is good, female dorm is 6 persons sharing and all volunteers are respectful to each others. It's about 10min walk to the studio and well accessible to metro and bus stations. Fridge is well stocked and the host is generous with providing ingredients that we requested. The most amazing thing is Daejeon people are very kind and helpful.
