My husband and I got other jobs but we have a beautiful land covered on palm trees with an old tabaco barn that we are converting into a rural house. My family runs a nursery garden in this town in the province of Toledo, not far from Madrid, we are now trying to finish the smaller details in the house as well as creating and maintaining the garden. At the moment due to our current jobs we are not abailable to spend too much time in the farm

Déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Dîner: Vous avez droit à un dîner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Vélos à votre disposition: Vous pouvez utiliser nos vélos quand vous le souhaitez.

Utilisez notre cuisine équipée: N'hésitez pas à utiliser notre cuisine et préparer vos propres délicieux repas.

Détails du programme

We are doing this on the side while we have other paid jobs, so at the moment we are not able to spend too much time in the farm, we have hosted volunteers a lot of times, when we lived in the farm but at the moment due the fact that we cannot be in the land too much, we are hosting one or two people a a time (a couple or a single individual) who are capable to help us in a autonomous way while we are not there, (my dad goes there often to do some tasks), so this program will suit someone who loves the solitude of the countryside and is willing to spend a long term in the farm (minimum 1 month)and be able to follow instructions and have initiative to do the required tasks while we are not there, nearest village is 15 min. on bicycle. Or 35 minutes walk. will come on weekends or when possible. We look for someone responsible and able to work on their own even if we are not there.

Activités et horaires

. We usually work from 9am to 2pm and the rest is free time but working hours can change depending on needs, weather etc…, if we are not there due to our other jobs, we will give you a number of tasks to do and you should be able to do it on your own even if you are unsupervised , so we look for independent, trustworthy, responsable people, there is not difficult tasks, mostly is watering the plants, pulling out weeds, cleaning and maintaining the gardens, Building new areas for entertainment, helping us with some diy task that my dad or us we initiate, building a bbq for example, painting some elements, picking up fruit, etc. there is different tasks depending on the time of the year. it’s important to maintain the plants so they don’t die, we will love to host people who likes plants and gardens,

Règles

We are very flexible people and we expect only common sense rules to be followed, its important not to smoke in dangerous flamable areas of the forest, and always use and ashtray, do not litter around, we had some volunteers littering around and that is not what we expect at all… in fact trying to maintain the place natural and clean is a must, the tools are expensive and it took us along time to gather them… please use them with care, we cannot replace then each time someone uses them… they must always be return to the wear-house after use and never leave a tool unattended.
