This orphanage in Bomet shows that true happiness comes from love, not from having much. The children lack material things, but they are deeply loved and cared for. Joseff is the kind of grandfather everyone wishes they had, and Noah is one of the best people I have ever met — devoted, honest, and tireless. We come for the children, but we must not forget those who care for them every day. Permanent volunteers like Noah work without pay or recognition, yet carry enormous responsibility. Supporting the children also means supporting those who support them.

My experience at the project was truly one of the greatest experiences I have. I was staying at the project for 1.5 month, and during that time I got to experience everything - many goods and I also faced challenges. I think you have to come to the project with an open mind. And the project is truly a beautiful place - Joseph and the other staff really dedicate their lives to the children. The children are truly lovely and one of my biggest wishes is to see them again one day.🥹❤️ I also loved my routines at the project like milking the cows, washing clothes, farm etc. Noah is also THE best host - truly!!!❤️

Los niños son verdaderos maestros: educados, respetuosos y llenos de amor para dar. La gente que trabaja alli siempre está disponible, es generosa y tiene la mejor predisposición para ayudar. The project is a special place filled with love and the purest joy from the children. I only spent a week here but that was more than enough to form a deep and lasting bond with them. Noah is a wonderful host: kind, genuine and always ready to help with anything you need. The safari he organizes is absolutely amazing and I can't recommend it enough. If you're thinking of coming here, my one piece of advice is - come with an open heart and mind, embrace the surprises and you'll have one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. the project will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Priyanka has been one of the best volunteers for Umoja. I really wanted to write the best review for her but I was caught up with time. Priyanka has been so active helping out in so many ways. We really appreciate her, however it was only one week but she was able to do a lot and made a positive impact for the kids in Umoja. My experience at the project was absolutely incredible and life-changing. The kids are amazing and so full with love and joy. I really enjoyed playing and learning with the little ones, as well as supporting the teenagers with their daily tasks and homework. Everyone made me feel completely at home from the very beginning. Noah was always there to help me with anything I needed during my stay, and he's doing a wonderful job welcoming volunteers for the orphanage.

The time I spent at the project was extremely valuable for me as a person, as it helped me grow immensly and allowed me to get to know a different and difficult reality from the one that I'm normally used to. Joseph is doing an incredible job at providing safety and education for the children, and the kids are incredibly enthusiastic, intelligent, and loving. The volunteer work is very flexible and diversified: from playing with the kids to helping in the kitchen, with the project homework, or at the farm, it allowed me to fully immerse myself in the kid's life and culture.

The project is the perfect place is you are looking for a family. You will fill at home, you wil be in contact with locals and with nature, and especially with children and their heart. the project's project is building a safe house for the children that need help and they do it perfectly. This had been one of the most significant experiences of my whole life. Noah is extremely supportive and welcoming, while the accommodation is cozy and completed with everything you need (a little cooker, mosquitos nets over every bed, toilet and shower, hot water (not every time, but most of the times) and internet connection). Since the very beginning I felt as a part of the family and I'm extremely grateful for this amazing opportunity. Thanks for having me❤️

I had the most amazing experience at the home. The children are so lovely and excited to interact with the volunteers, the locals are so kind and excited to show you their home. Everyone is exceptionally welcoming and I hope to one day go back!
