The hostel is one of the nicest, most welcoming hostel environments i've ever experienced and i honestly don't think it can be topped. it has a variety of games, books pool tables and a pool which is greattt to find a hostel that you want to hang around in and not just sleep in. the work load is light and evenly distributed between the volunteers working from 9:30-12:30 so you have the rest of the day to enjoy yourself. the staff are so sweet and friendly you'll somehow make friends with everyone within like 24hours. overall banging place that is definitely recommend to any other travelers

I volunteered at the hostel for about a month together with my girlfriend, and the experience was absolutely amazing. When we arrived we were positively stunned at how cozy the hostel was, the pictures alone doesn't do it justice. We immediately felt very welcomed and taken care of. The workload is very fair, the regular day consisted of working 3 hours in the morning, doing housekeeping or maintenance. There's a lot to discover around Port Macquarie, from great beaches and diners, to amazing nature reserves. I can't recommend the hostel enough. If you get the chance, go!

Volunteering at the hostel was truly amazing. The staff was so nice and friendly, the hours were doable and you still had enough time to jump in the pool and relax after the shift. We learned how such a hostel runs behind the curtains and were very grateful to get some housekeeping and gardening skills from it. We also created some deep friendships and connections with the other volunteers. To sum up, the life in Port Macquarie and at the hostel is great and we would always do it again :)) <3

I had a great time at the hostel! The staff is very welcoming and Alex & Jonathan organized some fun activities. The hostel has a very friendly atmosphere. Staff members have their own area with cabins and a bathroom. Port Macquarie itself is a pretty and rather quiet town.

The hostel was the perfect spot to start my journey around Australia. Staff and other volunteers were all so sound. The work is reasonable and they are happy to accommodate your schedule so you can pick up paid work around the town! Staff do their best to make sure you feel comfortable and included. I'll miss the place x

My stay at the hostel was wonderful! There is nothing to complain about, the work is super chilled and I really enjoyed working together in a team with the other volunteers. Also the private cabins that you share as volunteers are super cozy and the facilities in general very nice to just spend the day around. We had so many fun nights together and with the hostel guests, that it's not a problem that the town itself is quite calm :) Thank you so much to Mathilde and Vanessa for always making sure that I'm feeling good and for being so welcoming!

Lovely place, lovely people! Volunteering here has been one of my best experiences. Everyone was so kind and fun. The staff area could be improved a bit, but everything else was really great.

I had a really good experience at the hostel! I met a lot of incredible people and had a lot of fun! The tasks are so simple and really flexible. I would highly recommend this volunteer if you want to experience and travel around port Macquarie. The hostel was so lovely and confortable.

I had an amazing time at the hostel! Matilde, Sarah and the entire team were incredibly welcoming and great to hang out with. The working hours were totally reasonable and left plenty of free time. I'm so grateful for all the memories I made there and will definitely be back!
