As an App Designer volunteer at our regenerative farm, you will help us build a practical logistics tool to manage community pickups of yard waste, leftover food, pallets, and old furniture. Your work will directly support our sustainability goals and improve farm operations, making a tangible impact on the local environment.

What you’ll do:

Design a mobile-friendly interface for users to request pickups.

Integrate Calendly scheduling with our calendars.

Enable photo upload functionality so users can show items before delivery.

Build a simple admin dashboard for easy tracking of requests.

Test functionality and provide guidance/documentation for farm use.

Ability to work independently while coordinating remotely or on-site as needed.

Commitment to seeing the MVP through (4–8 weeks part-time).

Day-to-Day Life:
Your day will involve planning, designing, and testing the app, coordinating with farm staff for functionality, and occasional on-site visits to understand the workflow. You’ll have autonomy to work on the design while receiving feedback to ensure the app meets practical farm needs.

Daily Activities Checklist:

Collaborate with farm staff to understand pickup logistics and workflows.

Design and refine the mobile-friendly app interface.

Integrate Calendly scheduling for pickup requests.

Enable and test photo upload functionality for items being delivered.

Build and update the admin dashboard to track requests.

Test app features, troubleshoot issues, and provide feedback.

Document functionality and create simple guidance for farm use.

Attend brief check-ins (remote or on-site) to align with farm needs.

Shifts / Schedule:

Flexible schedule, part-time, remote or on-site.

Estimated commitment: 4 weeks, depending on progress.

Daily work can be 2–4 hours, adaptable to volunteer availability.

Occasional on-site visits may be needed to understand workflow or test features in practice.
