L'expérience

Daily life on the farm is diverse and changes with the seasons. I need help mainly with the animals and on the land (olive picking, harvesting, planting, etc.). If you have carpentry skills, I'm also a carpenter and have a workshop, there is always some tasks to do. Hours are flexible and depend on our schedules. Every day is different, so you won’t get bored!

2 jours de congé par semaine

Chambre privée: Vous aurez un lit dans une chambre privée. En d'autres termes, une chambre rien que pour vous.

Petit-déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un petit-déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Déjeuner: Vous avez droit à un déjeuner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Dîner: Vous avez droit à un dîner gratuit, tous les jours de votre séjour.

Transfert: Nous viendrons vous chercher à votre arrivée et vous emmènerons à notre propriété.

Détails du programme

Daily life on the farm is full of variety, and the tasks change with the seasons.
In summer, we’ve started to develop a small tourism activity around the farm — a way to help it thrive and to share our way of life with visitors.

At the end of summer comes the grape harvest season: there are plenty of grapes to pick, and it’s the perfect time to experience the traditional way of making wine here in Sifnos.

By late October, it’s olive harvest time — about two weeks of hard but rewarding activity to produce the olive oil we’ll use throughout the year.
In the heart of winter, the lambs and baby goats are born, and we make sure that all of them are healthy and well cared for.

Depending on my schedule — since I’m still a carpenter and often have other obligations — I always enjoy sharing the old traditions of Sifnos, as well as my knowledge about animals, plants, and local cooking.
When I’m not available, you can help independently or alongside Kristos, who supports me with the daily farm activities (he speaks Albanian and Greek only, not English).

Activités et horaires

Very flexible but around 5h/day, 5 days a week (we can discuss it)

Throughout the year, there are different tasks depending on the day, the needs of the moment, and your interests or skills:

- milking the animals
- making local cheese (manoura and myzithra)
- cleaning the stables and animal areas
- feeding the animals
- gardening, planting, and harvesting fruits and vegetables
- helping with general maintenance around the farm

For those interested in carpentry, our workshop is always open! You can come to learn or lend a hand if you already have some skills.

Règles

Respect the animals, the land, and the peaceful rhythm of the farm.
Follow safety guidelines during activities like milking, harvesting, or using tools. Ask before using tools or entering restricted areas of the farm.
Keep shared spaces clean and tidy, including the kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor areas.
