The staff was realy friendly and also the other volunteers. The city centre is only a 10 Minute walk away, so its easy to explore a lot. Leipzig is a realy great City!

Leipzig is a lovely city and the location of the hotel is ideal for travelling! The staff is young and friendly. The work at the bar is rather simple and you get help if you ask. Breakfast was good and also dinner was included when there were big groups. The place is more like a hotel than a hostel, which is good to keep in mind if you are looking to socialize with the guests. As a downside, the room for volunteers was very messy and dirty during my stay. It is supposed to be cleaned by the cleaning staff once a week but there was some kinda disagreement about it, I hope it is sorted out.

It was a very good experience, all the staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions that may occur; the room is fine, with good space for the 4 people who were volunteering, breakfast has a variety of food to choose from and if something is left you can take it to eat later; as other reviews say dinner is almost never included, in my case in the two weeks I was there was never any. As for the tasks in the shifts, they are easy to do, they don't take much time and in case of finishing earlier than expected you can get extra tasks; thanks to all the people I met there.

I had a magnificent experience volunteering at this hostel! From the very beginning, the team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, creating a work environment that was both enjoyable and inspiring. My roommates were the best—so friendly, and easy to get along with. The space itself was cozy, comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. I'm truly grateful for this opportunity and all the wonderful people I met along the way. I had so much fun, and made unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a warm, friendly, and positive environment!

100% recommend this experience! The staff are super kind, willing to help with any questions about tasks or Leipzig in general. All tasks are reasonable and shift hours are as listed. The volunteer dorm is clean and modern with our own bathroom. As we are right next to the train station, the hostel is in the perfect spot for exploring the city or other parts of Germany. My only “critique” is that dinner is not provided, only brunch at 11am, however volunteers are encouraged to pack extra food from brunch (like salad or sandwiches) so technically you can always get two free meals a day.

Everything was perfect! The staff and colleagues were VERY friendly. Agreements were respected, except for dinner, which wasn't always. If you know the basics of German, it will help you a lot when working at the bar. I highly recommend the hostel expirience Thank you all 🫶

A great experience with lovely people. The work is reasonable and the hostel is clean and centrally located; it's a great place to stay while exploring Leipzig. By far, the best part of this experience is the staff. I had a lot of fun working with the dynamic, friendly team here, many of whom I still hang out with.

I really reccomend staying at the ayo hostel. Everybody was really welcoming. Particularly Noah and Amy, the worldpackers hosts, but also all the staff. I had a really nice group of other volunteers so that also helps at having a good experience for sure. They really make sure you make the work hours that you had arranged before. The tasks are relaxed and you are changing in different shifts around the hostel so you don't really get to got tired of any of those. The best part, the breakfast is awesome. And as other reviews says, there is not dinner everyday,but when there is, is tasty too 😊
