Este fue mi primer voluntariado, ame cada momento que compartí con Edith y su esposo, Edith fue por mi a la estación de tren y después al llegar a su casa me mostró el lugar donde me quedaría, el lugar es muy bello y la habitación era muy cómoda. Aprendí mucho de ella, es una mujer realmente inspiradora, trabajadora y fue paciente para enseñarme, además me hicieron sentir como parte de su familia, recomiendo totalmente ésta experiencia🥹

Being at the reserve feels great. Nani and Edite taught me a lot of gardening and nature and of course, Honey and Bees. The soups that Edite make are the best. We can learn more about Portuguese food and culture. If you can bike you can go around the villages. Mora, Couco and Monteijo are the villages around you could feel nature around. Thanks Edite and Nani for everything.

Being in the reserve was a beautiful present for myself . I connect with nature and learn a lot from Edite and Hernani the amazing owner of this place who always teach me and guided with love. I felt like home all the time and Edite does amazing meals and dinners that will fill you with energy . Incredible experience if you want to learn about gardening, help in a beautiful project, connect with nature and locals and feel always loved. Recommended 100%

I absolutely loved my stay with Edite and Hernani! They made sure I felt welcomed and I had everything I need, and I learned so many new skills. I also learned about bees and had the chance to understand principles of beekeeping which I'm so happy about. The tasks are various and Edite is always attentive to make sure I'm comfortable . I simply felt at home and I had the pleasure of being part of this experience, thank you so much for everything ❤️ I hope to get the chance to visit again!

I had a wonderful time here at the reserve. Edite is such an amazing and hard working person, her dedication to the land and bees is admirable. While the work can be a bit challenging at times, it is rewarding and you definitely are making a difference. The property is rural and beautiful which makes it lovely for peace and quiet. All of the plants and flowers are flourishing which makes for many great pictures and you learn most of them center around providing the best environment for the bees. You do feel like part of the family, not lacking in food, smiles, or a learning experience.

Um lugar espetacular, com um casal maravilhoso. Aprendi imenso com eles, e foi um sítio que me trouxe muita paz interior. As refeições davam para alimentar uma batalhão e saía da mesa quase sempre a transbordar, mas com muita energia para ir trabalhar. A Edite e o marido fazem o mel com tanto carinho que isso demonstra-se no sabor delicioso dele. Uma memória a recordar com carinho, obrigada.

Wow! Where to even start. This was one of the best experiences of my life and it all stemmed from just the incredible dedication and generosity which Edite and her husband have naturally. With a cozy private room, a beautiful setting, and 3 home cooked meals a day I couldn't pick a flaw in this place. My only complaint is that I couldn't be there for longer. Show some love to this space which I assure you is a detox from the normality of reality.

Working on the farm was a great experience, I really enjoyed spending some time in rural portugal and contributing to a meaningful project. The living situation was also good, the food was great and fruit was plentiful :D After week one we had a small argument that was resolved quickly, but I feel that this argument could have been avoided with better communication. Overall this stay was very enjoyable and i would definitely recommend it!

Staying here was great!, Edite was really friendly from the second we met her and really tried to make us feel comfortable. The food was also really good, almost all of it was made using local ingredients!. I experienced the work as physically demanding- although it was fullfilling since you could really see what you got done in a day! Our place to stay was also great, it was complete and all we could ask for in a short-term stay. I would like to add that we where helping during a really busy time and that the stress of thier deadlines didnt help with communication / checking our work.
