Programa detallado

Our Language Teaching Volunteer Program in Marrakech gives international volunteers the opportunity to support local schools by teaching English, French, or Spanish. Many Moroccan students are eager to learn foreign languages, but they often lack the chance to practice with fluent or native speakers. Your presence will make a real difference by helping them build confidence, improve communication skills, and access more opportunities for their future.

Classes focus on conversation, practical vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural exchange. Instead of formal academic teaching, we encourage interactive activities such as games, group discussions, songs, storytelling, and role-playing—making learning fun and meaningful.

Beyond the classroom, this program is also about cultural immersion. Volunteers experience daily Moroccan life, enjoy traditional meals, explore Marrakech and its surroundings, and exchange knowledge with students and families. It’s a chance to not only teach but also to learn from Morocco’s rich traditions and hospitality.

This program is ideal for volunteers who are passionate about education, youth empowerment, and intercultural dialogue. Whether you are an experienced teacher or simply someone with strong language skills and a love for sharing knowledge, you will be welcomed with open arms.

Actividades & Turnos

What We’re Looking For

Fluent or advanced in English, French, or Spanish.

Teaching or tutoring experience preferred (but passion and motivation are also welcome).

Creativity, patience, and flexibility in working with students of different ages.

Respect for Moroccan culture and lifestyle.

Minimum stay: 4 weeks – Maximum stay: 6 months.

✨ What You’ll Do

Teach conversational English, French, or Spanish to children, teenagers, or young adults.

Prepare and lead engaging activities (games, songs, storytelling, role-play, discussions).

Support with pronunciation, vocabulary building, and grammar basics.

Help develop lesson ideas and simple teaching materials.

Share cultural insights with students and learn from Moroccan culture in return.

⏰ Shifts & Weekly Schedule

Working Hours: 3–4 hours per day

Days Off: 2 days per week (flexible)

Shift Example:

Morning or afternoon classes depending on the school schedule.

Small group practice sessions or classroom support.

As a volunteer teacher, you represent both our project and your culture to Moroccan students. To ensure a respectful and professional environment, we kindly ask you to follow these rules:

👔 Professional Appearance

✅ Dress modestly and appropriately for a classroom setting.

Shoulders, knees, and belly must be covered.

No transparent, tight, or revealing clothes.

Simple, neat, and professional style is expected.

✅ Tattoos must be covered during class.

✅ Piercings or flashy accessories should be avoided.

🚭 Behavior & Conduct

🚫 No smoking, drinking alcohol, or using drugs in schools or during program hours.

🚫 No inappropriate language, gestures, or behavior.

✅ Be punctual, reliable, and respectful toward students, teachers, and the community.

✅ Act as a positive role model at all times—students will look up to you.

🏫 In the Classroom

✅ Show patience, kindness, and encouragement to students.

✅ Keep lessons interactive, respectful, and supportive.

✅ Avoid sensitive political or religious topics unless part of approved curriculum.

✅ Maintain professional boundaries with students and staff.
