The hostel is very social place, we got to meet not only volunteers, but a lot of cool guests. Work is not hard, you help around at the reception, bar or with cleaning 4 days a week. Eduardo and Paulina are very cool managers. I really enjoyed my 3 weeks in the hostel. Definitely recommend this place and hope to come back one day:)

Fiz o meu primeiro voluntariado no hostel e foi uma experiência incrível! Me senti acolhida, fiz grandes amizades e tive grandes aprendizados. Tive contato com muitos estrangeiros, pratiquei inglês e espanhol e também consegui fazer uma imersão local, conheci pessoas locais e um pouco da rotina dos habitantes de Santiago. Aprendi melhor sobre o funcionamento do bar e adquiri grande conhecimento prático. A equipe é excelente, o hostel em si apresenta uma vibe incrível. Recomendo com certeza. Muito obrigada o hostel por proporcionar esta experiência incrível!

The hostel has really fun events, the other volunteers were amazing, the hours were super fair and the work is easy and fun. BUT, Felipe (the full time “bar manager” who lives there), made me feel so uncomfortable as a woman that I had to leave early. He made gross comments about my appearance, he'd change what I had to do for work so I'd look like a bad employee, and he tries to be sexually intimate with really drunk volunteers and guests alike. He made multiple other girls leave early during my time. CHOOSE A DIFFERENT HOSTEL IF UR A GIRL.

Girls please read all!! Passei um mês no hostel e tive uma experiência muito positiva no geral. A equipe foi acolhedora, a acomodação era confortável e o trabalho era bem organizado e seguia o combinado. No entanto, gostaria de alertar futuros voluntários sobre uma situação específica. Durante minha estadia, tive uma experiência desagradável com Felipe (staff permanente responsável pelo bar), cujo comportamento destoou bastante do restante da equipe, e fez com que minha experiência se tornasse um pesadelo. Na minha opinião se você é mulher talvez não seja um lugar tão seguro pra você!

The hostel is within walking distance to a lot. Restaurants, bars, stores, La Vega market, etc. I liked the fact that male and female volunteers have different rooms. On Sundays they have a free bbq which I thought was cool. Unfortunately during my time here I was sick. I did my best to communicate and showed up as best as I could. I didn't feel that there was any empathy and there's too many people conveying messages instead of direct and clear communication. I left a few days earlier to take care of my health.

Minha experiência no hostel foi incrível, tive a oportunidade de conhecer pessoas de todo o mundo e praticar muito o inglês e o espanhol. Os horários de trabalho são muito bem respeitados, são sempre flexíveis e o trabalho em si também é bem tranquilo e sempre estão dispostos a te ajudar além de toda a equipe ser muito bem receptiva, então sem dúvidas é um bom hostel para fazer voluntariado. O hostel está localizado em um bairro com muitas festas e bares então acaba tendo som alto durante toda a madrugada, o que pode ser incômodo caso tenha dificuldade para dormir.

Uma experiência muito linda, festas, viajantes de todo mundo, muito aprendizado e amigos muitos amigos. É um Porto Seguro para os voluntários que estão de passagem por Santiago. Agradeço muito a Paulínia, Axal, Felipe e todo o Staff do hostel, foram dias maravilhosos que irei recordar com muito carinho e Amor!!!

Eu amei fazer voluntariado no hostel! O hostel é super bem localizado, no meio da região mais boêmia da cidade. Sem dúvida foi um lugar incrível pra conhecer pessoas de diversas nacionalidades e culturas. Além disso, muitas atividades de socialização são promovidas pelo hostel, desde fácil acesso a muitas festas, Pub Crawls e churrascos até idas à montanha e a praia, que pra mim foram sempre incríveis. Os horários de trabalho no hostel sempre foram respeitados. A estrutura em si do hostel é boa, embora esteja passando por certos processos de melhoria e é importante dizer que há muita mú

I had the most amazing first volunteer experience at the hostel! I felt at home with the other volunteers and staff, and working at the bar was as easy as it was fun. I felt like I made a difference there by providing feedback and training to new volunteers. I left with a lot of gratitude for this magical place.

Volunteering at the hostel has been an incredible experience. Huge shout out to Paulina and her amazing staff for being so patient, welcoming, and creating such a great vibe at the hostel. They're like a big family. This was only the second hostel that I've volunteered with and I learned so much and will be much more prepared for my next volunteer experience. Thank you Paulina, Eduardo, Felipe, Axa, Wesley, and Diego!!
