We spent a month and would have extended our stay if we had more time. Thanks for teaching welding and for space to design awareness posters. Jojo's vision is admirable and deserves support. What's needed is not new ideas but people who can implement and speed up the existing system. The flexible and unpredictable hours did not fit my online work, but if you are comfortable with flexibility, this is a meaningful volunteer experience. Afiq and Zakir are new but promising. Vegetarians should note that extra shop-cooking is needed, though the kitchen is great. Hope our paths cross again <3

I could tell about the learning, welcoming community, wildlife; but where PLP truly shines is the man behind it all, Jojo From one engineer to another, I admired his way of thinking and building. He is generous, grounded, and chill, while still being serious about the mission. PLP is not a hobby but something he pours himself into. It's not polished in a commercial sense, and that's precisely its strength Layers of care left by previous volunteers are everywhere. Each added something with their own skills, and that collective is a testament to the trust Jojo builds Would happily go again

It was an unforgettable experience! Jojo and his brother are kind and welcoming. Jojo is inspiring, dedicated to making his community better. The work is well-organized and balanced, so it was enjoyable and never exhausting. We had all sorts of hands-on projects, including working at the workshop (we learned how to weld!), and sorting fishnets. The cultural immersion was a highlight: shrimp fishing, festivals, delicious food, ATVs rides and a traditional martial arts class. It all felt like family. I am truly grateful for being part of it and I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Jojo!

We were the first volunteers to be here while Jojo was away and I do think that's why we didn't get the usual the project Experience other volunteers have had. In the first days we felt a bit lost and we could tell that the heart of the project - Jojo - was missing and Afiq was also new to his responsibilities. That being said, the Team that we did meet was very nice and respectful. We had a lot of free time and could chill. Afiq taught us welding, which was nice and Zakirs food was always good! All in all we enjoyed our time and we think this place will develop even more in the future.
