Volunteering at the hostel was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is laid-back, social, and welcoming—perfect for travelers and volunteers alike. The staff made me feel at home from day one, and I was given clear responsibilities while still having plenty of time to enjoy Cancún and connect with guests from around the world. The hostel is well-located, clean, and full of character. I especially appreciated the balance between work and free time, which allowed me to explore the area and meet amazing people. It's a great place to grow personally, and be part of a supportive team!

My stay at the hostel was not what i had expected. it's a very strict “work environment” not so much volunteer. they're very demanding and impatient with the tasks, which goes against what they said it would be like. it's physically demanding labour. you must send a picture after every task for their approval (something as small as wiping down a microwave) they need proof that it's perfect. i also experience bed bugs here :( i can only write 600 letters here but i would not recommend this. the other volunteer i was with agreed that we were being taken advantage of. super unfortunate situation.

We try to be strict only because we want volunteers to make good use of their working hours and stay focused, avoiding personal matters during shifts, such as excessive phone use or extended breaks.
We also would have appreciated knowing about the issues in your room so we could have helped you, as we always do our best to accommodate our volunteers’ needs.
