Programa detallado
These missions are designed for individuals who wish to offer their time, skills, and energy to support a shared vision of ecological transition and meaningful living.
Main Objectives:
Support the ecovillage through useful and varied tasks (eco-construction, gardening, event logistics, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, childcare, etc.).
Strengthen the social fabric of the place through collaboration, presence, and sharing.
Allow participants to discover a different rhythm of life — rooted in simplicity, connection, and purpose.
Actividades & Turnos
As a solidarity mission participant, you'll be involved in the daily life of the ecovillage through a variety of hands-on tasks that support the community’s well-being and sustainability. The work is meaningful, collective, and adapted to both your abilities and the needs of the moment.
Typical Activities may include:
🌿 Gardening & permaculture care
🧹 Cleaning and maintaining shared spaces
🍽️ Helping in the kitchen (cooking, dishes, food prep)
🛠️ Light construction or renovation projects
🎨 Preparing events or artistic activities
👶 Supporting with children or family life (when relevant)
🪑 Logistics & setup for group stays or workshops
Shifts & Rhythm:
💼 Average contribution: 4 to 5 hours per day, 5 days per week
🧘 Afternoons and weekends are generally free for rest, exploration, or participation in community life
🗓️ Schedules are shared weekly and organized collectively to adapt to the flow of life at Pourgues
🔄 Flexibility is appreciated – the rhythm can shift depending on the season or needs
Note: There are no “bosses” — responsibilities are shared with care and autonomy, in a spirit of mutual aid and presence.
Reglas
Living together with respect and awareness
To ensure harmony, safety, and a rich experience for everyone, we ask all solidarity mission participants to honor the following guidelines during their stay:
1. Respect the place and its people
– Treat the ecovillage, its spaces, nature, and inhabitants with care.
– Speak and act with kindness, honesty, and responsibility.
2. Be present and engaged
– Participate actively in the missions and show up on time for your shifts.
– Communicate openly if you're facing any difficulty or need support.
3. No drugs during missions and no alcool abuses
– To maintain a grounded and safe environment, we ask that no substances be consumed during your stay, especially during work hours and shared activities.
4. Honor shared spaces
– Clean up after yourself, respect quiet hours, and contribute to collective well-being.
– Follow the systems in place for compost, waste sorting, water, and energy use.
5. Respect privacy and diversity
– Everyone comes from different paths — we welcome all identities and ways of life, as long as mutual respect is upheld.
6. Children and families
– If families are present, be attentive to the presence of children and their safety. Some tasks may involve helping with family life if agreed upon.
At Pourgues, we believe that honest dialogue is essential. Regular group check-ins are held to share how everyone is feeling and to adjust if needed. If at any point the mission no longer feels aligned for you or us— emotionally, physically, or relationally — it’s entirely possible to pause or end it. What matters most is that each person feels free, respected, and listened to.
