My time at Hotel the hotel was amazing! Alex and Alexia deeply care about their volunteers. This was my 6th Worldpackers experience, and Alex & Alexia were the best hosts I have had. The job entailed me washing dishes for 2 hours in the morning for the breakfast and 3 hours at night for dinner service. At some points I helped in the hotel room. The 3 meals a day were delicious and very filling. The beach is a 20 minute walk away and sometimes Alex would pick me up or drop me off. I miss everyone at the hotel and I hope to return:) I highly recommend volunteering here!

I would like to highlight that the host was very polite and kind in their treatment of me, and I reciprocated the same. However, they are really not prepared to receive volunteers. The room provided for volunteers is not actually a room, but a laundry area where beds were improvised, which makes it unsuitable for staying. The hotel itself seemed very good, I pointed out that it was not what had been agreed upon and that, in fact, the photo used in the volunteer posting was completely different from the reality.

I don't recommend. The room shown is not what you get, I stayed in a dusty improvised space in the laundry area, impossible to rest. Bathroom in poor condition, washing machines ran until 1am. I'm vegetarian and they didn't respect this: I was served a dish containing small pieces of meat. When I spoke to the host about it, instead of apologizing he said it “wasn't a big deal”. Workload was exhausting (2 people for 30 rooms) with disorganized shifts. After giving notice I was leaving, I was told at 10pm to leave the next morning, scrambling for expensive last-minute accommodation.
