Programa detallado
Sensus Festival is a small party with 1500 guests and a meeting place for art and music. You will find a wide variety of genres: Electronic Music, Hip-Hop, Punk, Indie and Pop. The Festival aims to be an open and inclusive space, so everyone feels welcome. The organisation is non-profit and relies on the contribution of many helping hands.
We play our part by taking responsibility for the rubbish and keeping the party clean as we are convinced that a clean environment keeps the vibe high and reduces the impact of a party like this on the location and their surroundings.
As a crew we all camp together and build a little pop-up community, taking care of our own camp and let connections between each other grow. This way you easily get to know friendly people with whom you may have a great time partying. After you arrived in our camp, we all get familiar with each other and get an introduction into the crew and our work. The next morning, we will do a walk-around in the festival infield to get to know the place. A shift plan will be made, so that everyone knows when to work. Our managers will tell you where to meet for the shifts and will work with you to make sure that all of our tasks are covered. When the festival ends, we will all celebrate our effort: during the last set we all gather on the dance floor and dance all together. On the first day after the festival the whole crew works together to clean up the festival area.
Sensus festival will provide two meals per day during the festival days and 3 meals on the two days of the final clean up.
In the centre of our camp is our community tent, which is our cosy living room and contains a tea kitchen and provides electricity.
We also have our exclusive clean crew toilet and free access to warm showers.
Actividades & Turnos
Volunteers work 4 hours per day during the days of the Festival. In these 4 hour shifts we communicate to the festival visitors and keep the area clean from trash. We have different ways to do this: We welcome the festival guests at the gates, greeting them, handing out pocket ashtrays and trash bags and talk with them about our goal of a clean festival. We are visible in the festival area and maintaining the area, collecting trash with tools like our trash pickers and gloves. Both will be provided. We also select the trash in the background. Also, we will visit the festival guests in their camps, having a little chat with them, offering help to motivate them cleaning their campsite. After the Festival has ended and the guests are leaving, we will stay two more days to do the final clean up of the party. On these two days we all work together 8 hours each day.
