Have stayed at the hostel with Una and Nico for more than one month. Simply put : it was a wonderful experience. <3 They are super super kind and funny! They will make you feel comfortable from the first day. And they will put their best energy to give you the best experience possible ! Work is really fair and easy. You will never work overtime. Hualien is a really nice city where you can experience the nature easily. Even if the national park is closed there is a lot more to see!! Una will tell you all about the hidden gems in Hualien and the surroundings. Just go there it's amazing <3 !

I had an amazing stay at the hostel. I learned a lot about Taiwan and the Taiwanese culture. I'm incredibly thankful for this experience and recommend it to everyone. The working hours are not long and the location is perfect to explore some of Taiwan's most amazing nature :)

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel and felt very much at home at the hostel. You only work 3 hours a day, helping with cleaning, so you have plenty of time to explore Hualien and do other things after work. Una and her family are very kind and welcoming, and will help you with anything you are wondering about during your stay. I also enjoyed getting to know other guests from all over the hostel and exploring the beautiful nature in Hualien :)

My experience in Hualien was great! the hostel is a fantastic hostel, I was more than happy to help do my part to keep the place clean and operational :) Una is a very warm & welcoming host who does everything to help you feel settled in and is full of great tips and tricks. The work is as outlined, with plenty of guidance/help if needed. This leaves you with plenty of time to explore the surrounding area which is full of amazing natural sights! I would highly recommend this experience to any travellers in Taiwan! Thanks again Una for everything :)

I knew I was landed in the perfect place from the first second I step in to the hostel. The owner Una and his family couldn't be more welcoming,helpful and nice to me during the month I stayed in this beautiful place. The work was easy ( few hours in the morning, helping with daily cleaning tasks) The east coast of Taiwan is a truly gem, you will be surrendered by beautiful nature all around. Taiwanese people are one of the kindest I never meet in my travels. I highly recommend to volunteer at the beautiful the hostel . Thanks a lot for everything Una ✌🏻 And see you soon!
