Programa detallado
This is a small, independent film project taking place in August 2025 in Pozo de Las Calcosas, a remote and stunning coastal village on El Hierro, Canary Islands.
The story follows a solitary man, living like a hermit in a stone house he once bought for his missing kids. One evening, a mysterious young woman arrives, asking for shelter in exchange for help. What begins as a simple arrangement gradually reveals deeper layers: the girl may not be who she claims to be — and the man may not be the monster she was told he was. Between suspicion, silence, and haunting dreams, the truth will rise.
The film explores themes of memory, trauma, forgiveness, and spiritual healing — set against a backdrop of volcanic rock and wild Atlantic sea.
Volunteers will work closely with the director (who is also the main actor) and are invited to contribute to the creative process. The scenario is still evolving, and input from team members — especially the actress — will shape the final film. Secondary roles can also be created depending on the volunteers’ presence and energy.
We offer accommodation and meals, and ask in return for dedication, creativity, and team spirit. All technical equipment is provided (Blackmagic camera, sound gear, editing setup). The atmosphere will be more like an artist residency than a professional set: human, simple, meaningful.
Actividades & Turnos
We will work in short, flexible shooting sessions depending on natural light and weather conditions.
Main activities may include:
– Acting and rehearsing (for the actress and any supporting roles)
– Filming (camera operator)
– Sound recording and setup
– Reviewing takes and co-developing scenes
– Basic set organization, cooking, and sharing daily life
We aim for 4–6 hours of daily activity, usually split between morning and late afternoon. Afternoons can be free for rest, walking, writing, or swimming in the natural volcanic pool.
Creative input is welcome at every stage. We are building this film together.
