I had a very nice time there. Everyone is very nice and always smiling, which creates a very nice environment. Work hours are respected. If I only have one thing to say, it's that it was a little bit cold, especially in the kitchen, but they made sure to put the heater on a little bit. Otherwise I would recommend this experience!

Tara the Center is surrounded by a stunning and very peaceful nature. The lounge is very lovely. Since I did multiple jobs ( such as gardening, cleaning, kitchen, cafe shop...) I learned a lot! It was like a "life school" for me. Other volunteers and many other people were very nice people. Other than a few small misunderstandings and the man who is responsible for the building (He was rude to me and some other volunteers), I am happy that I joined and I learned SO MANY THINGS! Good contribution for the rest of my life. Thank you and best wishes

The hosts are organized with their hours and work, however the kitchen staff have very short hours, all day until 7:30 pm. They put you in groups that can be kitchen, cleaning, cafeteria or maintenance, which is generally in green areas. For the latter, the work can be hard and although they agree on 6 hours, I would think that it could be a long time, 5 hours would be better. If you are assigned to the cafeteria and cleaning, it is more relaxed. On the other hand, the hosts are very respectful and the food is mostly vegetarian, quite good, sometimes a little simple.

Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the meditation classes are awesome. If you want to get the most out of this experience and be involved, go to as many classes as possible. Be aware that this is a meditation the Center which means no musical instruments and it's quite quiet. If silence is a problem for you this is not the right place. However, if you want to find inner peace and meet like-minded people, this is a perfect match. the Center monks and nuns are happy to talk to you about their stories and answer any questions you have. If you open your heart, it will be filled to the brim. <3

TARA is a special place, working at Café with Harry I had the opportunity to learn new skills, meet many local people, and interact with them, especially with the dogs! Special thanks to Harry for the conversations, learning, and patience!

O tempo que eu passei no centro budista foi muito bom, eu realmente aprendi muito com as pessoas com quem trabalhei. Gostei principalmente de trabalhar no café, acho que é o lugar que mais temos interações, para melhorar o inglês. Pude me conectar com outros voluntários de outros países que estiveram lá também.

Durante minha estadia, pude aprimorar meu inglês, principalmente quando estava trabalhando no café, pois havia o contato com os clientes. Os anfitriões são muito gentis e adoráveis, sempre preocupados com nosso bem estar. Pude conhecer uma cultura (vegetariana e vegana), que me surpreendeu de forma positiva. O ambiente calmo e silencioso contribuiu muito para reflexões não tão fáceis no ambiente que atuo. As conexões que pude fazer, acrescentaram muito no modo no qual penso sobre a vida.

I worked at the Café preparing and serving plates, and cleaning Tara. Everyone was very helpful and willing to help.

I had a lovely time at Tara the Center. Was so nice to work within the cafe as well as other various roles, be in nature, learn more about Buddhism, meet people from around the world and attend the meditation sessions. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to switch off for a bit, reset and relax.
