Programa detallado
Volunteer in Ghana with St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation and help provide support to the women and girls who are rated as poor in society.
SMWEF offers programs specifically focusing on the plight of destitute women and young girls in rural communities. The program aims to help women by giving them support, guidance and life skill training. Volunteers work with grassroots women's association, clubs and groups; help to initiate income-generating activities and to create sustainable solutions to the challenges the women face on a day-to-day basis.
On this program, volunteers assist with training women in diverse life and income-generating skills and to carry out research to find alternative solutions to fight poverty. No specific requirements except willingness and enthusiasm to help women.
The mission of this program is to help foster the growth of independent, self-sufficient, decision-making women by encouraging self-empowerment. Our volunteers help in the following ways:
Teaching life skills such as healthy eating
Initiating income-generating activities
Promoting self-independence
Encouraging self-empowerment
Offering support and guidance
Develop micro-business/loans
This program focuses on teaching women and girls' solid entrepreneurial skills like sewing and soap making to earn an income. We then assist them in selling their products and the need to cultivate the habit of savings.
Your volunteering, energy, time, skills and donations will go directly toward providing resources and materials needed to assist women and girls who have been marginalized by war, disability, and homelessness. You’ll help each individual to learn a new and valuable skill —providing jobs, income, and hope for their future.

We help volunteers to choose tourist sites and give advice on safety check, accommodation and recommend tour guide if the need be. There is forts & castles, monkey sanctuary, mole safari ride, waterfalls, open street market, museum etc. that volunteers can visit as well as local festivals like Bakatue, Akomase, Homowo, Aboakyere, Chalewote festival etc.
During the weekdays too, volunteers can go to the shopping, market centers or relax at the beach after volunteer duties ends.
Reglas
We expect all volunteers to respect our local culture, directions, be flexible and humble themselves during their stay at our place.
