Prashna and the whole family were amazing to spend time. They are very accommodating, and from the very first second you feel as if you have been apart of the family for a long time. They also make a large impact on many children throughout Nepal. Over I had an amazing experience

I stayed at Prashna's and Guita's house for 40 days and the experience will stay with me for my whole life. The children there are everything, and I left the house with all of the kids calling me “bhināju”(brother in law). I did many meaningful things with Prashna and his family such as an extremely successful go fund me project with Prashna that outfitted an entire village with sleeping supplies. That project would not have been possible without Prashna who coordinated the entire project. I experienced many parts of Nepali life from a traditional wedding, to local wine called raksi.

I stayed at Prashna's place for 3 weeks, and it was amazing. i got to know this family and children, learned some nepali, met incredible volunteers (Jeff, Johna and Caleb), and learned some things about myself as well. I got everything that was promised (and even more) and i did my best to give this family and children all the love and appreciation that i have. My days, from morning till night were filled with love, joy and kindness. I definitely will come again to see children, to see this big and happy family. Prashna is a great man with big heart, i was really honoured to get to know him

I have loved my time at the organization, and what was suppose to be a two week stay has turned into a much longer one. The huge family here is very warm and welcoming, and Prashna has been very good at making sure I have everything to be comfortable. The kids are fantastic - intelligent and friendly. It is a lot of fun to help with homework as well and play and chat with them. There is also much spare time to explore Pokhara. Food is delicious. I recommend this place to all travellers. A big thank you to Prashna, all the kids and adults at the organization, and the other volunteers I shared my time here with.

The family and the children at the organization were lovely and welcoming. The children loved playing cards games. However, this experience wasn't what we were expecting. There wasn't any structure or guidance from the host on what volunteering we were meant to be doing. On the advert it stated that there was free hiking tours, this wasn't the case. It also stated 3 meals a day but most days it was only breakfast and dinner. For the extra fee we paid it was disappointing and we didn't feel like we got the opportunity to do much volunteering or make as much of an impact as we had hoped.

This experience was relatively disappointing. The family were incredibly welcoming and kind, but there wasn't much volunteering to do. The position advertised three meals per day, but most days we were only provided with breakfast and dinner (no lunch). Considering the extra fee we paid, the food and accommodation was substandard and we were given very little information from the host on activities to do around the area, or volunteering jobs. There was no free hiking tours as advertised with the position, with the cheapest one available being $500 per person.

I appreciate the host with warm family vibe. The family welcomed me a lot and offered me a cozy and respectful environment to chat with locals and experience the authentic local lifestyle. Mainly helping with family kids, I spent a good time to enjoy a quality accompaniment in my stay. I like the family treating me as one of their family members.

Overall, I had a good experience at the organization. However if I were to go again, I would try to go at a different time of year. The kids weren't in school so there weren't many ways for me to help out. The kids were very nice and sweet to us and our main activities together were playing games and hanging out. I just wish I could've contributed more in some way. I was only there for a short time (a week) so I understand it's hard to make an impact with such a short amount of time.
