No somos objetos, somos personas

Definitivamente volvería a ir

If you want to help and visit a beautiful, peaceful place with luxurious accommodations and wonderful Korean food, this is the place to come. My experience here was positive because of how I understand the concept of volunteering, but above all because of the connection I made with the people, the language, and the Korean culture—these values were what made me come. Regardless of the location or the type of assignment, in the end, the experience among people is always the most important thing for me. Thank you to the entire the hostel family for welcoming me!

Pedro,

Such a truly positive and open-minded volunteer!

A good friend who reminded us of the life principle that whatever happens is the result of each one’s own karma.

It’s a bit of a pity that we only got to enjoy kayaking or swimming in the sea together once, but I’ll make sure to create even better times for you next time.

It was a real pleasure to be together.

Peter and Team Jang Nim welcomed me as part of their family. We shared good meals, meaningful conversations, and created special memories. Peter organizes fun activities and social dinners to make the experience enjoyable. Team Jang Nim is like a big mom: she cooks with care and firmly manages the place, always looking after us if you're open to Korean culture. Some days the workload can be intense, but it's worth it for the unforgettable view of the sea right in front of you.

The stay was wonderful; the place is beautiful. You can see the sea every day. The job is to clean the rooms, and it's very easy. In your free time, you can walk around the area; there are several routes to visit, although the main city is an hour and a half away by bus. Peter is a delight, very pleasant and hospitable. His sister, Team Jang Nim, is a sweetheart; she prepared the food every day, and it's delicious. Thank you so much, family, for taking such good care of us. We are very grateful for everything. It was truly paradise to wake up to that beautiful landscape and hear the waves of the ocean. Thank you to Peter and his sister, Team Jang Nim, for taking care of us as a family and preparing the delicious meals. Thank you for the wonderful experience we had at the hostel.

The cleaning workload was heavy for more than 32h while Peter tried to give us one day off cuz no real staff here except volunteers. He also asked boys to do construction jobs which was sooo tired and illegal. There was no dedicated rooms for us.If guests booked”our room”,we had to move into a smaller one or even his house which needs one hour drive. Sometimes volunteers slept slept in the kitchen.Food mostly is rice and kimchi which was not enough and nutritious.Sometimes she treated us with sth guests threw away~garbage!Only 4real meal with unfair requests:for less day off/for moving out……..

Me senti exposta e humilhada.

Great ocean views.I'm truly grateful for the cultural experiences and friendships I gained—like my first snorkeling during Peter's social event. But the workload was far beyond expectations: usually 6–8 hours(no breaks)daily with no true days off unless paired. Volunteers did most tasks without rest, as there were no formal staff. Meals were sometimes guest leftovers.Seriously i care about the hygiene of cleaning. The location was extremely remote, and although pickup was promised, it depended on Peter's schedule—leaving arrival or departure very difficult, especially with heavy luggage.

The location is very beautiful. I had concerns about the hygiene of the place so I felt uncomfortable with the work at times but the manager was very kind and always cooked for us. It is better when more vokunteers are present as it can be a lot of work for 1 person.

Hi, Marine,

Thanks for your working here.
Your hardworking is very helpful to me.
I feel sorry that I couldn't let you experience more aspects of Korean culture due to my busy schedule, even though I wished we had more time.

Nevertheless, I hope you still have a wonderful trip.

Thanks a lot^^
