The Teaching Animal Welfare Program, organized by Voices for Animal Welfare (VFAW) in partnership with Integrity School, promotes animal welfare and protection through education.

Descripción: The weekly contribution of 68 USD covers: - Accommodation - Three vegetarian meals per day - Transport in our shared vehicle during project activities - NGO fee Please note that this is an approximate cost, as expenses may vary slightly (except the NGO fee). All costs are shared among team members and managed collectively through our shared team cashier.

Programa detallado

Participants will:

- Teach primary school students about animal welfare, empathy, and responsibility.
- Lead interactive lessons, games, and activities to raise awareness about animal care and conservation.
- Immerse themselves in Tanzania’s culture while contributing to sustainable change in animal welfare education.

In addition, participants also serve as volunteers supporting the community. Activities may include:

- Organizing vaccination campaigns.
- Engaging with the community to promote awareness of animal welfare through education and advocacy.

Actividades & Turnos

Morning (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Teach interactive lessons and workshops in primary schools.
- Use games, stories, and hands-on activities to encourage learning.
- Work closely with local teachers to align lessons with the school curriculum.

Afternoon (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
- Collaborate with volunteers to plan lessons and design activities.
- Review student engagement and feedback to improve sessions.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about animal welfare.

Evening:
- Relax at the lodge with a pool and bar.
- Join cultural activities and team events.

Weekends:
- Safari excursions to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
- Optional activities like hot springs, coffee tours, and cultural festivals.


Reglas

Participants must be 18 years or older at the start of the program and fluent in English to ensure effective communication. Proof of rabies vaccination is mandatory before arrival but can be submitted later once the application is approved. Applicants must submit details of any medical conditions and confirm they are fit to travel. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents, and repatriation is required for the entire duration of the program.
