Overall I had a very mixed experience at the hostel. I really enjoyed the other volunteers and staff members and the overall vibe of the hostel, but there were many things that raised some concern for me. First of all the cleanliness of the place is not well maintained. It was rare to find hand soap in the bathrooms and the sheets were often ripped or stained. One of the owners had made some uncomfortable comments towards me and other women staying in the hostel which I had found very unprofessional. We were promised free tours but they wanted us to write 10 fake reviews to get them.

The work is very laid back and simple, you meet many travelers and help out the guests, which is very cool. There were usually 3 shifts, 8am-1pm, 3pm-8pm, and 8pm-1am, so the amount of work hours was respected and very rarely the volunteers helped out outside of shifts (night check in or if busy). The breakfast is included and it was very nice, sometimes there were pancakes or chilaquiles, as well as coffee all day :). We could use the boogieboards which was a lot of fun. I had a great time and made great friendships, thank you for making me feel welcome, especially big thanks to Meche!

Had a great time at the hostel, met so many amazing people especially other volunteers. The whole team especially Meche made me feel so welcome from minute one. Nice location in downtown Cancun and good facilities, okay flexible working hours. A very nice chill vibe at the hostel and it's easy to go to the beach and trip to other cites on you days of.

Francisco is a nice and caring host 🙂 The tasks are very simple and easy and you'll have plenty of time to enjoy what the area has to offer. The rest of the staff is wonderful and you will be treated like family.

Francisco and Mercedes are amazing! They make you feel, and they treat you as part of their family. My experience at TBH was remarkable, I made new international friends, enjoyed myself, and learned a lot. Privileged location, cozy facilities, and I would dare to say, the place exceeded all my expectations.

My experience at the hostel was amazing. I met people from all over the world and got along great with everyone. From the moment i met the staff i was welcomed and felt like family. The volunteering is straight forward and simple. You will have lots of free time so I recommend picking up a hobby or going out to explore the city beaches and local culture. Everyone was friendly and willing to help with any thing. Don't go here if you're expecting a resort. It is a hostel still but how it's run makes you feel like you're all family. I will miss the chill nights on the patio and bbqs

Small but cozy place, cleaning standards were good, quiet and peaceful place. Good place to practice hostel management skills.
