I had a lovely experience at the project. The hospitality was divine as I had my own clean room, I was fed 3 delicious home made meals and I had access to the peaceful farm to enjoy during free times. I worked on the farm for a couple hours in the morning + house chores and I had free time to enjoy the green oasis for the rest of the day. Shak was great comapny as he jammed out with us and brought me to nearby Italian towns. the project is a beautiful place and I totally recommend if you want to experience a eco conscious community with structure.

I loved my time at the project! We did couple hours of outdoor tasks in the morning and afternoon was free excluding some household chores. So over all a very chill and relaxing work schedule. Its a perfect place to explore farmlife and its incredebly revarding to get ingredients from the land. Animals on the farm are the cherry on the top. I found myself in peace here, would recommend to anybody.

Il progetto è un luogo meraviglioso, una villa immersa nel cuore della Sabina dove sarete accolti da Shak: un host che sa far sentire i volontari a proprio agio, che sa parlare con gentilezza e che vi lascerà lavorare senza pressioni. Sarete coinvolti nella vita rurale italiana, lavorando nella produzione di prodotti artigianali, nella gestione dell'orto e dei frutteti. Visiterete posti caratteristici della zona, e la sera, spesso in compagnia dei suoi amici più cari, grazie a Shak parteciperete a jam sessions di altissimo livello. Un'esperienza indimenticabile.

I had a wonderful time at the project. I stayed for only two weeks, but I would have loved to stay longer. The work was enjoyable, peaceful, and always varied. The animals were well-behaved and so sweet! Shak and Tiziana are outstanding hosts. The food was delicious and Shak was generous with his time, showing me so many local towns or giving great suggestions for other places to visit. There is a home cinema with a range of interesting films, and Shak also provided materials for me to paint. I felt connected to nature, while also inspired by food and the local heritage.I'd highly recommend!

The project was an incredible host and I'm grateful I got to stay there. It was a wonderful experience, Shaq, Tiziana and the animals were incredible . I learned so much about Italian cuisine and got to make dishes I never thought I could, like crepes and cakes. If you want to learn about cooking with natural ingredients, sustainability, and living in harmony with nature, this is the perfect place. Shaq was kind and helpful, taking us to nearby towns, helping with trains, and suggesting local activities. Whenever he had friends over, the farm was filled with laughter, music, and amazing food

This was my first time volunteering and it was a fantastic experience. Learning at the project taught me about sustainability and a different way of living. Shak and Tizianna were amazing hosts who offered to take us to near by towns on weekends and showed me new recipes and ways to prepare food such as making fruit leather. I got to meet amazing people and learn to care for the garden. I would definitely recommend coming here.

The project was my first Worldpackers experience, and I couldn't be happier! Shak taught us how to care for the garden, manage composting, look after the animals, and discover every step of olive harvesting, among many other skills. I'm deeply grateful for this experience. I met amazing people, learned so much about Italian culture, and felt truly connected to nature.

It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have wished for a better place than the project. We learned so much, from gardening and harvesting olives to cooking and discovering sustainable living. I met amazing people, enjoyed delicious food, and spent time with the sweetest cats and dogs. The property is beautiful, the pool refreshing, and the rooms cozy and clean. Grateful for every moment spent there.

My stay at the project was a great introduction to volunteering and sustainability. Shak is a welcoming host with lots of stories to tell. Tiziana was helpful with all pre-arrival questions. I appreciated having my own comfortable bed- and bathroom. ​I especially enjoyed the communal atmosphere. We cooked and shared delicious meals together, often featuring fresh veggies from the garden. Spending free time with the other volunteers was great for community and cultural exchange, and I met the most amazing people. The animals were a big bonus, loving cuddles. I would recommend this to everyone.

This was my first volunteer experience and I'm very happy that I chose this place! I spent 3 weeks at Shaks Farm and I learned a lot about olive harvesting, gardening, cooking and got many inputs on sustainable living. But more important, I learned how to enjoy life a bit more and be grateful for all the little things! I had the chance to play guitar, to make music together and to simply enjoy it without any pressure. I met great people and I really felt at home in this special community! Also I loved to cuddle with the animals! Thank you, Shak, for everything! I will be missing this place!
