Mi experiencia desde que comencé a escribirles fue muy buena y personal. Lo que me dio la total seguridad de que sería bien recibido. Cuando llegué siempre estuvieron pendientes de que me sienta cómodo. Nos recomendaron muchos lugares para visitar. Lidia fue excelente y siempre super linda! Mil gracias esa amabilidad. Y el grupo de voluntarios era increíble! Las voy a extrañar! Hicimos tantas cosas juntos. Fue todo increíble como amigos que se conocen de toda la vida. Mi horario era super bueno para aprovechar todo el día. No me quería ir. Realmente la pasé increíble! Totalmente recomendable

Hola somos Conty y Clau y nuestra experiencia en nest fue increíble, conocimos personas maravillosas tanto del equipo, como del staff y personas del voluntariado. Nos llevamos recuerdos muy lindos y mucho aprendizaje en cuanto al intercambio cultural y social. Un ambiente muy lindo para aprender nuevos idiomas. En cuanto al trabajo a realizar, fue muy tranquilo, flexible y respetaron nuestros tiempos y horarios. Muchas gracias por todo lo brindado y compartido. Saludos 😘

Mi estancia en el Nest el hostel ha sido increíble. El grupo fue muy acogedor, me sentí como en casa desde el principio. Las tareas eran claras, fáciles, y los encargados siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar, así como los demás voluntarios. Los voluntarios tienen bastante tiempo libre, así que pude conocer a mucha gente, hacer muchos amigos y visitar la isla. ¡Ojalá hubiera podido quedarme más tiempo!

Fue mi primer voluntariado en España y la verdad que las condiciones no son las adecuadas, estábamos 12 personas durmiendo todos en una habitación, no había espacio para nada, el trabajo era muy duro ya que eran 3 pisos y eran muchas las tareas que tenías que hacer. Había poca seguridad, tenías que atar las cosas con candado ya que entraba y salía cualquiera del hostel porque no había seguras y había mucha gente viviendo, no había turistas extranjeros.

Fue nuestra primera experiencia y la verdad que no fue nada agradable. Era mucho trabajo, bastante agotador. Los voluntarios prácticamente manejan el hostal porque solo tienen 3 empleados. Éramos casi 12 voluntarios durmiendo en una habitación compartida muy pequeña, desordenada, calurosa, en la cual era muy difícil descansar. Es un lugar inseguro, tenías que tener tus pertenencias con candado o lavártelas todo el tiempo por que robaban dentro del hostal. Entraba y salían personas todo el tiempo y no había seguridad. Es un hostal donde no había tanto turista sino que había gente que vive ahí

Mi estancia en la isla ha sido, sin duda, una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido en mi vida. He conocido a personas de todo el mundo, y he podido aprender diferentes estilos de vida que me han enriquecido. El resto de voluntarios han sido mi familia este tiempo, y he disfrutado mucho de ellos haciendo numerosas actividades. Sé que volveré pronto y que cualquier persona disfrutaría de una experiencia y un destino así de divertido.

Without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life! Inka, Barbara, and Irene contributed to making the experience even better; they were the best managers, always helping when I needed it, always listening to what the volunteers wanted. The other volunteers and hostel workers (construction and cleaning) also contributed to making this a positive and fun experience . The work is super calm, divided into shifts. I felt at home. I liked it so much that I was sad to leave and I definitely want to go back. I highly recommend it. I already miss it. Kisses and hugs from Brazil! 🤍✨😍🤩

My experience did not match the Worldpackers description. We were promised free activities and yoga, but none were offered. Later I found out the activity leader was on holiday, which we were not informed about, and we were instead expected to lead activities on top of our work hours. The managers were very kind, but the volunteering concept is poorly organized. I was criticized for “dirty” sheets, although they are washed on very low settings and come out unclean. Almost no one spoke English, many guests were uncomfortable, and money was stolen by another volunteer.

The hostel conditions were way worse than I expected and I left the place after 4 days. The volunteer room is too small for the amount of people staying there, there is no place to put your belongings and no lockers so anybody could enter the room and access your stuff. Only a few of the beds had curtains and none of them had a light or power sockets near by. The hostel had 3 kitchens but 2 were suddenly out of use. Bed sheets are dirty, stained and ripped and the cleaning we did was very superficial. A lot of things are broken or falling apart and I felt like nobody even cared...

We would like to clarify that the volunteer stay was ended earlier than planned, as the requirements of the volunteer program were not fully met, and therefore we could not continue the collaboration.

Some of the points mentioned are already under review, including facilities and maintenance, and we appreciate the feedback as it helps us improve.
