My two weeks at Art Garden Madi were an incredible experience. I joined the painting school project and had the opportunity to meet many local people, learn how to make clay, and even participate in a local wedding. Madi, the host, is a truly special person—he's funny, helpful, and made me feel so welcome. I left with many new friends and wonderful memories, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and immersive art experience.

I had a wonderful time at Art Garden Madi! Madi truly offers a beautiful experience in the jungle. He took us to many places to get in touch with the local culture. Next to that he and the place inspired me to work on a bigger art piece that was way out of my comfort zone. I learned a lot during my stay here, about myself and about the way of living in Ulu Dong (and Malaysia). Next to that, I met some wonderful fellow volunteers during my stay with who I had amazing great time.

Madi is an amazing host! He is always smiling, full of ideas, and has incredible knowledge. I had a fantastic two weeks and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape from a big city. You can expect to do things like working with bamboo, drawing, meeting locals, and exploring the area. I highly recommend this place and would love to visit again. Blazej is a good, trustworthy, and responsible person in any task given. He makes an effort to understand each task before executing it to ensure better results. His willingness to learn and take the initiative in completing tasks is excellent for any host. For other hosts, I recommend him as someone who requires minimal supervision and carries out his work efficiently.

I had such a great time with Maddi. He is so kind and welcoming and open to all creative projects and ideas. My first week in the art centre I has been working building a seat out of Bamboo with other volunteers. Then I had a creative idea for a project of my own that Madi totally embraced. He encouraged me, showed me how to use the tools, and shared his artistic materials with me. I loved being out in the remote jungle, far off the beaten track. I would definitely recommend this experience to travelers looking for something different and out of the ordinary.

From the very beginning, I knew that Emily was a highly artistic person. The work she has done is excellent, and she is very committed to the tasks given to her. She is also very responsible in carrying out her work. Her curiosity and dedication in creating artwork set her apart from her peers, putting her ahead of the rest.

Madis Artgarden is a wonderful place to channel your inner hippie and connect yourself with people and nature. We learned all kinds of new skills and every day brought something new and special. You'll love the community and being in contact with the locals, especially the host madi is amazing!

Celine has only been with me for a few weeks, but she has never disappointed me with the tasks given. I am also amazed by her commitment at such a young age, even when handling dangerous machines.

This volunteering is ideal for you if you are looking for the perfect balance between work, fun, a good environment and getting to know the true Malaysian culture! I spent two transformative weeks in this place, which welcomed me, gave me friends for life and taught me the importance of slowing down. Madi and his friends are super welcoming and the best human beings! Madi, thank you for absolutely everything!! We will see each other again one day <3

My experience was mixed. I truly appreciated the cultural exchange and the opportunity to celebrate Hari Raya with Madi and his friends. However, at times it was quite tiring and not exactly what I expected in terms of learning new things. It often felt like we were just following Madi wherever he wanted to go, without being informed in advance, and the plans changed frequently. The jungle is absolutely amazing, and the place definitely has soul. Transportation is very limited. Be prepare for mosquitos, and check you network as connection is limited.

Artgarden Madi is a great place to learn new skills by working on a personal project and help improving the space. Madi is a knowledgeable man with years of experience and has a friendly approach with everyone. My first week was great and ignited again my passion for drawing and creative thinking. However, due to the Hari Raya festivities on my second week, the time for activities dropped significantly, so it could have been a much better experience personally.The atmosphere is great for connecting with your inner self, but not many places to go around Ensure you internet connection beforehand

As a young individual, there is still much for Sinje to learn. Focus and dedication are essential in completing assigned tasks, and more attention is needed. However, she has shown good teamwork with her fellow volunteers.
