Join our family with one of the first surf schools in the Algarve! As a volunteer host at our camp, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team making breakfast, welcoming guests, changing beds, and keeping the hostel running smoothly.
In exchange, enjoy a bed in our shared dorm, free food (including our renowned breakfast), and free surf lessons or surf equipment! We need responsible, friendly people who thrive in a social environment.

Ready for an unforgettable experience by the sea? 🌴 As a volunteer host at one of the first surf schools in the Algarve, you'll be part of a welcoming team dedicated to creating amazing memories for our guests! We look for people who are great at making food, baking, organising and all round friendly!

Actividades & Turnos

Shifts
There will be 4 volunteers with a rotation 3 to 4 shifts a week depending on rotation. There are 2 volunteers on shift that take care of the breakfast and daily tasks.
Typically you will complete them within 5/6 hours from breakfast (7am/8am) onwards. Once the breakfast and daily tasks are done, there MUST be 1 volunteer who stays for the remainder of the day. However, this can be chilling out, reading, working online, etc… so long as 1 volunteer stays in the hostel to greet check-ins, walk-ins, and whoever else.
Usually the volunteers work it out between themselves and this can be swapped in and out during the afternoon with your other shift partner to make it fair.


What the HELP involves:
- Preparing, serving, and clearing breakfast for guests (this means an 7 or 8am start for you when on shift)
- Helping prepare family meals / BBQ dinners
- Socializing with the guests, keeping them motivated and happy!
- Baking foods for the following day's breakfast (recipes are provided)
- Making beds and dealing with the check ins/outs
- General maintenance, tidying, and cleaning (nothing too hard - we have a cleaner who comes daily!)

The family dinners/BBQs are twice a week which are free to the volunteers however it requires all staff to pitch in as a team but we like to have fun and have some drinks while we work (food included)!
