I had a great time, but I'm sure experience differs based on amount of other volunteers ( we had 5, but when I initially arrived we were just 2) and hostel assigned. I was at the hostel, the accommodations were clean and modern (free breakfast, coffee, drinks, laundry), other volunteers were great, and shifts were short and easy. Easy to make friends at the hostel bar and 5 mins from the metro so you can easily explore Athens. We could also go to the hostel whenever, which was nice since they had a more social rooftop. Would have been nice to have a volunteer only room but overall great experience!

Minha experiência foi muito boa… a estrutura do hostel é incrível, desde as camas, chuveiros e a as áreas comuns… a academia é ótima, tem um coworking, o rooftop e o bar que abre depois que o rooftop fecha… o café da manhã é maravilhoso, vou sentir saudades dos ovos mexidos pra sempre, os drinks do Niki são os melhores que você vai tomar na vida… eu super recomendo e estou disponível pra tirar qualquer dúvida ❤️

Staying here was my first volunteer experience and I really enjoyed it. Other volunteers and employees made me feel welcome and the place became like a home within a month. The tasks were easy and you could take breaks if needed. I met amazing people and this trip will always be in my mind! 🫶🏻🥰

My experience at Athens Hawk the hostel was great! - The hostel team and volunteers were all welcoming and friendly. - Tasks are simple and match what was agreed upon: morning and afternoon shifts consist of washing the dishes at the kitchen and evening/night shifts at the bar you also have smaller simple tasks such as getting ice, making change, locking up at the end, etc. - The schedule is sent weekly so you can plan visits to other islands on your days off. - Room is super comfortable, and you can use the gym and all other facilities. - Location is close to metro but in a quiet neighborhood.

Such a good experience!! The social life was 10/10, meeting so many people every day and the rooftop bar made this place alive!!! You can walk to anywhere from the hostel and has great connections:)

My stay at the hostel was very pleasant, the rooms are great and clean, the tasks are simple and I made friends that I will keep for life. I want to give a special thanks to the chefs and Nikiforos who were super kind and helpful.

I am very grateful to have had the hostel host me for my first volunteer experience. The tasks are exactly as listed, simple jobs helping behind the bar or in the breakfast area. Communication regarding what exactly is expected of the volunteers could be a bit better, but I had no issue figuring it out by the end of my first shift. The hostel itself is very lively, an amazing place to meet new people. I've made some lifelong friends on my trip and will definitely be visiting again!

My time at the hostel was amazing, the hostel itself is great, clean, spacious rooms, and well located. The work is chill, and the staff are such lovely people, super friendly, and I'll really miss them. The hostel is very social, and it's easy to make friends with both other volunteers and guests. You also get access to the gym and facilities at the other hostel if you want. On your days off, it's easy to visit the islands too. The city became one of my favorites, I was completely enchanted. I 1000% recommend it!!!

My experience at the hostel was very unique to my other hostel experiences. The hostel itself ( the hostel ) was very nice, I loved working in the restaurant and using the facilities. The kitchen staff are amazing and I really felt like we were a big family. Accommodation was nice as well as the food and drinks from restaurant / bar. Well worth the 20 hours a week. There weren't many other volunteers ( usually 3/4 at once ) which at times felt lonely, but it's a hostel, so just walk around and you'll meet lots of amazing people. Ultimately I will miss my time at the hostel & in Greece very much!

This was my first time volunteering and I loved it! I washed dishes 5 times a week and it's super easy. My 2 days off were often times together which made it easy to travel to the islands too. I met so many fun new people, would recommend volunteering here to anyone!
